Is the spatial video you watch in 2D just seems like when move controller in front that looks 3D but actual spatial video looks like a projector screen image I thought that video would be in 3D also thank you!

It’s not possible to accurately convey how spatial video looks in Zapbox with a standard 2D video like this, Spatial Video currently must be captured on an iPhone 15 Pro, and is essentially stereoscopic 3D video, and when viewed through Zapbox, appear 3D to the user, similar to a 3D television, or watching a 3D movie in a cinema. 2D videos, when viewed in Zapbox look like 2D videos projected into the real world.

Hi iPhones generally have a little over 1080p (1170px ish width for non-max ones) but not all the screen is visible through the lenses and it's usually more comfortable to show the video slightly smaller than the full FOV of the headset. So the effective display resolution tends to be a bit lower than that.

Can you turn any videos you have in your phone album or do you or someone who has option shoot in spatial video be able to send you their spatial video and also can watch thier videos also does it come with a usb charger

Hi Wondrvrse, if you want the full spatial effect then best to capture spatial videos with an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max or have a friend share some with you. You can also watch standard videos in the Zapbox spatial TV app.

We are working on adding support for other immersive video formats like 360 / 180 formats, and alternative virtual environments is another feature on the longer-term roadmap :)

Hi there, Zapbox comes with a front-to-back strap and a ratchet for tightening or loosening the headset to find the perfect position on your head. Hope this helps

Hello! I'm a user of this tool, and I feel fortunate to have discovered that this platform supports Unity editing. I've been using it for a few days now and I can definitely see its significant advantages. However, there is a need for optimization, especially when it comes to using the recording feature. I'm not sure why, but there is a noticeable lag in the screen during the experience. Nonetheless, I want to express my gratitude for the platform's services.

I did the same way. But now my GameObject appears in the camera view always. I see part of the cube all the time, and in case I show an image target it spawns one more object. How to fix it?

Hi there, to resolve this issue can you check that the GameObject is placed correctly in your Unity scene. It should be positioned at the center of the image target or the tracking area where you want it to appear. Also, make sure it's not below the image target in the scene. Additionally, check your hierarchy to make sure that the GameObject is within the image tracker group. hope this helps and for further support, please submit a ticket at docs.zap.works/contact/

Experiences built with Zapworks Designer will launch in WebAR, and therefore you will need an internet browser and internet connection to access them. Hi Vikki, This video relates to a previous generation of ZapBox, ZapBox Cardboard. With our brand new hardware model releasing very recently, we made the decision to remove old iOS app from the App Store to avoid confusion for now and to begin maintenance for newer phones. We do plan to make the older app available in the future, but in the mean time I'd recommend checking out our newest (yet affordable!) mixed reality headset - Zapbox here www.zappar.com/zapbox/. Hi Nipon, glad to hear you enjoyed the tutorial! There are a few answers to your questions. If you want different models on the same card, you don't need to scan for every planet, you'll just need to add a scene inside Designer. Here is a link to our image tracking doc to help guide you: docs.zap.works/designer/tracking/image-tracking/ But if you have different cards, yes you will, because you will need to create a new project for each card since Designer does not have multiple image tracking. You can deep link between your projects though as a little hack, we usually recommend menus or buttons for this. This will help with how to create buttons to link to other pages e.g. Links to Web Page: docs.zap.works/designer/actions/ More info on deep link URLs: docs.zap.works/general/project-triggers/deep-links/

Just followed your tutorials to get this working over WebGL, thank you for those! I'm testing with a self-hosted site and it works pretty good. An issue I am having is when the image is no longer seen by the camera, the image with the instantiated object sticks to the screen and follows my device and sometimes will freeze camera feed. Is there a way to keep the instantiated object in memory so it can remember its location within the environment (similar to what happens when using <model-viewer> in HTML) instead of following my device?

Hi there - we’re so glad you’re enjoying the Universal AR SDK for Unity! It might be helpful to know that you can remove the overlaying preview image in your experience through the image target trainer: docs.zap.works/universal-ar/unity/tracking/image-tracking/#zappar-image-trainer Mixing environment tracking with image tracking would class as extended tracking, and would therefore require quite a lot of mathematics! It’s for this reason that we find developers tend to hide content when the target image is not in view, using the target image’s 'On Seen' and 'On Not Seen’ events. Or, if you don’t need a target image, you could try instant world tracking, which is our environment tracking solution built for the web. @@ZapparApp Thank you for your response! Yes, I found I can remove the image, so that's cool, thanks! Thank you for the suggestion, I was able to setup an instant world tracking project and have it hosted. I can tap to place the object, which is great, but it doesn't entirely stay put. The object will be placed where I tapped, but if I walk around, the object follows a bit and is a little jittery. Is this common? If it matters, I'm using Safari on an iPhone 13 Pro on iOS 16.4.1.

@@drumdover Hello, it’s great to hear how you’ve been getting on! Generally, we recommend looking at or placing instant world tracked content on a textured surface; this is so that anchor has something to ‘grab on’ to. It can also be helpful to position content anchor-first, rather than content-first. This means that content should be as close to the center of the tracker as possible; and if you need to adjust content positioning, you should start by manipulating the Instant Tracker’s AnchorOffsetFromCamera parameters first, rather than positioning specific content (e.g. a mesh). Moving content too far away from the tracker in either direction will naturally cause what appears to be 'drift', due to the perspective and our natural eye.
