A few questions, why do you not max out the weapon power? Yet you also max out speed and collect the extras for points. I thought picking up extra speeds or powers when maxed would increase the rank?

Last night I got a score of 6,243,970 at very hard game level with still 7 lives remaining in this game, with 4 loops completed, no bombs, and a perfect game on the 3rd loop with no miss. I’ll be uploading a video of my game soon. Still, I must say you are a great skilled player. Congratulations!👍You can try using the blue laser. Best effective weapon in the game.

Is there no way to change the aspect ratio of the game to 3:4? The arcade version is also in normal 3:4.

30:00 - oh my GOD! if only i had destroyed those two bullet panels before they attached to the boss!!! i still managed to do it with savestates, but i replayed the boss so many times to learn the bullet patterns and move through them.

25:50 - if i knew you could fly on top of these big planes it would've been a different story for me on this level. i assumed as you were in the air and they were, you would just collide with them. unlike ground based enemies. again, that last boss on that stage was possibly the easiest in the whole game, once you fly on top of them. i really wish i had thought of that.

There’s an official Japanese super play DVD where the player does that to the top part of the boss, destroys it and stays there killing asteroids for points, then suicides. Because the JP version has checkpoints he goes to the boss over and over and he earns more lives with extends than what he loses. Crazy stuff!

that slow down definitely helps. 11:55:- there's some tight weaving between those bullets coming down towards you that i know would give me a lot of problems. i've been practicing with the us version and using savestates to practice problematic sections on stage 2, which i have know commited to muscle memory. i can clear stages 1 & 2 without dying, but not consistently. now i'm practicing stage three

The enemies in all these shoot em ups never learn that they'll never win if they continue to use weapons that just fire orange balls that travel at 1 mph

is there a benefit to using the blue ship? also, i have noticed this version seems easier than the steam legacy version. when you reach the four gun turret emplacements, you are constantly swarmed by helicopter waves on the pc, but not this version?

Hello! Sorry for the long waiting... The blue ship is faster in diagonals than red one, so you should play using the blue ship ;) This version is really easier, because it is less faster than legacy version. I have a video completing fastest version here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZoamlmaqeJ5qj6c

@@edusword no problem! i have noticed differences with the pc legacy port compared to the mame roms, for example. the steam legacy version has a training mode so you can replay a level you have completed, although you start with no power ups! i'm using retroarch's savestate function to practice bosseds at the moment. i'll watch your faster video aswell!

Hello again! I use WolfMAME emulator, but you can use any normal MAME. I don't know Retroarch working, so I can't help you with this, sorry!

このゲームに使ってる基盤が貧弱であんまり疑似３Dのゲームに向いてなかったとか何とかでいまいちな出来になったみたいな事聞いたことあるな。この当時この手のゲームはナムコ、セガが強かった気がするコナミはグラディウス2とかシューティングゲームが強かった

the best game over in all of history. the music, the scene where you see yourself lying on the ground, your killer looks at you and the screen goes black NOIR style is absolutely sublime. Few games can traumatize with a single scene.
