How’s this coming along? I’m keen on taking a look at it.

Interesting but you said you could play in 5 minutes. I don't know how that could be possible with all the calculations.

Yet another intriguing game, So glad I found your Channel. If I could make a suggestion, Ive played almost every Tabletop Basketball Simulation over the last 40yrs and in my experience, Rolling Dice for Shot Results adds more variety and less of the luck of the draw feeling that action cards seem to do with the results. They also create somewhat of a predictable game pattern, Because you usually cant get to many repeat results with a card deck with a select amount of cards. Once you use a card result, Depending on the amount of cards in the deck, Its usually very predictable that a team trailing is going to have an extremely hard time catching up because some of the better card results have been used. That’s my experience with the Shot results being on the Action Cards rather than rolling dice. I thought I would share it with you. Keep up the great work!!

Thank you for the input! I agree with you on the facs getting repetitive. That's actually one of the reasons I made it to be played with just Dice, just FACs and a combo of dice and FACs. I still have some tweaking left to do but it's coming along. I would say just doing Dice is a little slower of a game but I feel it gives you some better results over all. Thank you for watching!

Just found your channel, And im very intrigued by this game. I think you may have a hidden gem of a game here, Looking forward to the release date. Keep up the good work
@J-DOUBLE-A8 ай бұрын
Thank you! I've been working on it for about a year. I'll definitely post an update once I get it all tweaked and right. Happy to hear you like it. It's a solo and 2 player game and I'm making it to were you can create your own fighter and do a career.

That was a fun watch. Really interested in the game. Should we just stay tuned to the channel for the release info?
@J-DOUBLE-A8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah I'll be posting an update on a tentative release date in the next video. Probably will only be a few fighter sets as I'm still building the fighter database. I'll also go over that as well. Thank you for watching and the interest in the game!

Hey there bud, was just wondering if your getting closer to a release? Many thanks and best wishes
@J-DOUBLE-A4 ай бұрын
Hey Nigel, I'm pretty close. I'll be posting a video here in the next week or 2 with the different features of the game. Thank you!

Hey man, Your game here looks great. Been meaning to say for a while. Do you think you will get it released? Thanks bud
@J-DOUBLE-A9 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! I'm waiting on feedback from a couple of play testers and then with some minor tweaks, it should be ready in a week or 2 after I get their feedback. I'm working with an artist for the board layout, tho it's not needed to play the game, it definitely gives you a better feel/look of the game. I'll do a video of game play without the board. Glad you like it. It's been a labor of love! Lol

Is there a website for your game? This looks very good.
@J-DOUBLE-A9 ай бұрын
Hey, thank you! It's been a labor of love. Lol but no website yet. I'm about to send put some copies to have them play tested. Probably won't be ready for release till summer. But even then there will only be a few seasons at first. Takes me about 2 months to make a season.

Im always hesitant to buy any of their games because you never see any videos on most of them, thanks
@J-DOUBLE-A9 ай бұрын
I totally feel the same way. Only reason I took the plunge was cause I played the original game of this game. Like back in the 80s and I loved it.

Just picked up this game from Downey after watching your videos. Will you be producing more? For example, how to determine points and rebounds? Thanks enjoying your channel.
@raygausman59529 ай бұрын
Enjoyed your demo. You certainly have been working hard developing your game. Curious what the procedure is for rebounds and how long you are estimating it will take to play an entire game?
@J-DOUBLE-A9 ай бұрын
Ray that is an excellent question! I'll do a video on the rebounds with just dice and with facs(facs are pretty easy). With just dice it would take anywhere from 2-2½ hours. Facs would be about 1:15-1½ hours. I'll run a qtr with just FAC's to show the time. I'll do that with the clock for the game.

Enjoyed seeing your demo of your new game. It has some interesting elements. Best wishes as you develop it further. I look forward to seeing your further revisions.

Thank you! Definitely a labor of love. It'll flow much fast once the FAC's are done. Thank you for watching!

Enjoyed the second game of your Chicago Packer 1961-62 replay. Close game and surprising win against Syracuse. What other game engines do plan on using for your season replay? Are you using the original starting lineups and trying to use the minutes played as guidelines for substitutes?

Thank you! I've got a rotation of bank shot, SSG, statis pro, Hoops and real/life basketball classic. Up next is SSG(sideline strategy games). Tho real life basketball is becoming one of my favorites.

Thank you for showing this demo of Player of the Game Basketball. I was curious about it, but could not find any demos. You did a superb job explaining it.

Thank you! I was thinking about doing another video and do a full stat mark up with rebs and ast. Glad you liked it. Lol I wasn't sure anyone would care tho it does help to see it played to get an idea of if you'd like a game. Or at least that's how I feel. Have a good one!
@raygausman595210 ай бұрын
@@J-DOUBLE-A I hope you decide to do another video showing how to figure the rebounds and assists. I debated about purchasing Player of the Game Basketball during the recent Easter sale, but was hesitant since no videos were available that demonstrated the game.

Thanks for the demo, Jason. Pretty small footprint, which is cool. I'll be getting my Real Life Basketball game out of the gaming closet one of these days! 🏀

Jason, thank you for doing the introduction and play through videos. I have been curious about Real Life Basketball Classic and your videos are much appreciated. I like the enhanced cards for the players that you are creating. Hope you get rid of that cold soon. I got a kick out of "Disney Games." It must have been the cold or cold medication.😄😄😀

Thanks! I'll try to get a whole game in. Probably once I get my FACs sleeved. Lol the struggle was real trying to pull those cards.

Nice video. Just a tip for when you're showing something close-up: put your hand behind the card to block out the background so your camera only focuses on the card in your hand. I've seen other people do it and it cuts down on the time that you wait for the camera to focus.
@J-DOUBLE-A Жыл бұрын
Yeah I agree Peter, it was one of my very first videos in showing cards up close. Hopefully, when I do up close shots in the future, I remember that. I'm usually trying not to cuss! Haha

Just putting this out there, I does happen sometimes where the offensive player commits a offensive goaltending...player tips in the basketball while in was bouncining over the cyclinder thinking it wasn't going in hoop.
@J-DOUBLE-A Жыл бұрын
True, I should have played it as offensive goaltending or did a decider roll to see if it was offensive or defensive. Since most of the time, it's called on defense.

Good video, thanks. Question...How do you handle this - You are playing with the 10 player per team board, and for example the home C1 fouls out. What do you do? I'm thinking - move the C3 player into the C1 position and ignore any C3s of the cards. Help much appreciated.

I get em from Swanpanasiasleeves.com. I believe they are 64x89(magic). I get the premium. They shuffle very nice. The standard(penny sleeve) have a bit if a grip so not good for say a fac deck.
