Why are you turning that frame around ? It gave you a nice section in between the greenhouse and the polytunnel ?? You could of put a few cheap pallet collars and left that as your veg area 😊One for herbs ,one for salad goods ect 🤷Sunflowers,peas,beans,sweetpeas along the fence on a pole frame .

If you want to grow through winter Zo .Sow trays of mixed oriental salad leaves to cut and come again in the greenhouse .Buy or sow Kale,spring cabbage,cauliflower and broccoli and grow in polytunnel 🙂

Zo learning curve from 40 years experience .Brassicas hate heat ,never grow in a tunnel or greenhouse unless it's winter .If you want to grow Brassicas get yourself a roll of 20mm piping X 20m from Screwfix or Toolstation and cut three hoops a metre for a bed .Poundland for plastic clips pack of four .Get as many as you can. and buy either soft butterfly netting or debris netting 3x10mtrs will cover two beds .Easy fix for all Brassicas and no caterpillars 🎉 Toms,cucumbers,peppers and chilli's in tunnel with basil in between .Squash and courgettes are fine uncovered with nasturtiums outside but take room .Peas are easy up a trellis outside from March ,french beans from late May .Six plants will fill your freezer for winter 🙂

I've only been growing veg for three years, but 2024 has been by far the worst year, thanks to the weather. The spring was unremittingly cold and damp, and summer was inconsistent, too. I would take this year for what it is, learn from it and be confident that next year will be warmer and drier! For example, in 2022 I got an absolute stack of chillies; this year, hardly got any, despite me growing the same ones with similar potting mix etc Keep the faith! 🙂

Zoe could go the no dig way use raised beds cuts out taking up the grass Zoe l also grow a lot of vegetables in pots ps keep your vlogs up

Necessary to protect promote to farming gardening .

If you are allowed to dig up the grass my partner was not very impressed until she got the vegetables if you can turn over a 2 ft buy 2 of 3 m strip put some chicken pellets and fish Blood and Bone in as you turn it over you can put your garlic sets in now good luck

A diary will help to write down what you do what dates work

You need to take an area of your lawn put in a spade and turn it over so the grass is buried at the bottom at the mud is at the top do an area parsnips do not like fertilised ground such as too much compost or manure do not like makes them fork parsnips brassicas such as cabbage èand broccoli and potatoes grow outside not in greenhouse you need to make sure do space out your plants correctly it doesn't work if you cram stuff in if you do a video letting me know what you're thinking of doing I will talk you through it

hello we are new to your channel and we are new allotment holders we have had ours since july and still working to get the plot ready for growing next spring lots to do as the plot had nothing on it but an old compost bin its great watching other allotment vlogs as it gives us some new ideas for what we can aim for in the future :)

You could try resting the pumpkin on a flat piece of cardboard, then put coffee grounds or crushed eggshells around it? I know the jury is out on both of those methods, but might be worth a try!
