Training is to find the parameters in the function with a large scale data and computing resources. Inference is to apply the function we have already made clear to simple environment and smaller platform.

DUDE...inference is the process of using an AI model to analyze new data and make predictions. You just going round and round get to the point.

When I started programming around 12 years old I used BASIC and ASM. Python to me is like BASIC... I beginner language. As a software engineer I use many different languages. I avoid Python if I can but some things at work use it. My job is mainly C# and SQL. Love it. First job out of college I wrote regular C/C++ so the syntax is not much different same and Java and C#. C# just build to java and added a lot more features.

I found the video highly engaging, particularly its coverage of pertinent topics. As a Senior Data Engineer aspiring to advance to the role of Chief Data Officer (CDO), I grasp the conceptual shift required. A CDO, akin to an economist, maximizes the value of data as a strategic asset. My query is: What is the highest-level career trajectory a Data Engineer can aspire to?

I want to write an app using an image classifier NN. Because all runs local, size matters. On Apple devices i can use CoreML to run models. How can i get the smallest deployable version of a Pytorch/Tenserflow model evaluator (not training)? This shouldn't be more then a few MB of size (if not just a few hundert KB cause it's all just simple maths code). But libtorch is also giant. What am i not understanding here?

I find the t-shirt size estimation method unpractical. It is subjective and does't provide a relation to time, which is the entire concept around scrum.

Matlab works well for engineers and scientists. Without being disrespectful, I’m talking about “real” engineers. People who need to solve physical science problems. Matlab is structured and operates the way these people think. It allows complex problems and systems to be analysed in a sophisticated way with a very low burden on time and effort. It improves productivity massively and that my friends is why it’s expensive.

Holy Cow, 6 minutes wasted. Lots of words, no real explanation. Training is the process of passing the training dataset forward & backward through the network structure adjusting the weights to reduce the losses X number of times. When the losses have been reduced to an acceptable level, the model's structure and the weights & biases are saved. Inference is the process of loading the previously saved model's structure and the weights & biases into memory and then running feature sets (X values) of new data through the model producing predictions (y values)... Training/learning is creating "intelligence". Inference can be thought of as "thinking" with the artificially intelligent "brain" that was created through training.

Just looking at search results on a job site isnt really that useful. One of many reasons for this is that there may be 7* more jobs for python, but if there are 7* more python users then it balances out. It pays to know a rarer language. But also python seems to be that language which everyone puts in job descriptions regardless of whether you'd use it. It's like a supplementary skill, much like horse riding.
