Would it be possible to build this with just RWD and add extra battery packs for more range? You mentioned 2,700lbs with the current dual motor setup. What do you think it would weigh with single mother and perhaps 4 volt battery packs? Awesome build by the way!

We did a brief EV West video on our 914 that had previously been converted many years ago as a lead sled. We plan to mount a Model 3 motor in it, so very interested in how you used the existing mounting points, and if you invented any others. Cheers. kzbin.info/www/bejne/enaolK2wa616kNU

Very very nice. That's what I was looking for. Very thought through.Only one little note. The UI Interface looks too technical. Wish it would not look so Windows 95 style. If you put it in a nice electric car conversion, it should not look so out of place. Wish you could work a little on it. It does everything it has to do and even much more. But the "box around it" looks not finished yet. Just a few ideas that came up to my mind immediately: Why not set the Kw and RPM underneath the numbers in a smaller Typo. Why are the RPM in 5 digits.. Nobody can read it, because the last digits are changing to fast.. It is hard on the eyes. Black background etc.. By the way, the video would be also nicer to view if the footage would be not 90degrees tilted. It is nicer to view something in Panorama View. The D N R buttons could be symbolized a little bit nicer. They look like from an industrial machine from the turn of the century. Not that they have to be overly fancy, just a little nicer for the eye. This would make your whole product, much nicer and more valuable. Maybe take an idea and look at the Chinese producers of electronic Dashboards for the Model 3 google: "Instrument cluster tesla model 3" and you will see, what I mean.

Very nice! What battery did you run on that quarter mile run?
@evcontrols69453 жыл бұрын
That car has just one Chevy volt pack at the moment (Gen 2, 18kwh). I have another pack, and planned to run two, but the combination of a light car and the very efficient Model 3 motor means it has enough range for anything I have needed so far.

Will you be offering the T2C with the model 3 with dual motors?
@palkaivanov28403 жыл бұрын
No way it can fit in the subframe
@evcontrols69453 жыл бұрын
Possibly, if there is enough demand. We did all the work to support the dual motor model S/X P powertrains but it seems that most people are happy running just one motor, and very few (almost no one) wanted to tackle the work involved in installing the front motor.

Awesome build. I know nothing about EV. When you installed two Volt battery packs did you do them in series or parallel? Did you do it to up the voltage, the peak amps, or to increase range? So if I wanted to do a similar build but was willing to trade range for weight loss, could this be done with the single battery pack? Great work man. Really dig the AWD
