@MarktheLandlockedSurfer just ordered a whitetail whaleshark Kodiak, looking to put my curfboard trucks on it. I’ve tried curfboard on my grasp board at 17 inch wheelbase and seems maybe a tad unstable , I can spin a circle but may want more stable. Curfboard puts 19 inch on their fish model, guessing maybe I should start at that. Any input on your wheelbase? Also have grasp pado I could use.. I have them on the grasp board and love them for pumping in the street but at my comfort level feels like they’d be too turny for me in bowls or transition, at 17 wheelbase. Thanks for any advice
@MarktheLandlockedSurfer2 күн бұрын
I do use them on the 17" on my Whaleshark but I did enjoy the feel of them at 18" on the Curfboard deck also. I think in bowls going a little on the long side would be preferable unless you have a small bowl with tight pockets.

Look at YOU overpowering this poor thing. At about 3:10 you do a frontside turn and your board is smashing into the wheels, both front and back. That is YOU having NO CLUE what you're doing with this unique design. You paid for different experiences but you over powered the engineering and FAILED. YOU'RE TERRIBLE at advising others. The wise skaters have white hair. Just because there was a void left by others, doesn't mean you should fill it.
@Gma77883 күн бұрын
Look at yourself. That's the exact same run in a skate park for 30 years in a row. That's the exact same street wobble for 30 years in a row. Clearly YOU OVER POWERED the design to achieve the same result, time and time, again and again 🙄 😒
@MarktheLandlockedSurfer3 күн бұрын
Could you try a different translator app? Overpowered the design? Not sure what you're trying to say.
@Gma77883 күн бұрын
Yeah, so you're WRONG and you hassle manufacturers. You clearly don't know what surfing waves is. The flat water is the end of the ride. Stop ✋️ your opinions! Give it a rest. Ask yourself WHY ARE WE SEEING THE SAME MOVES for 30 years in a row but all the boards are unique??? You CLEARLY are overpowering the boards to get the same results. You NEVER BOTHERED TO LEARN the basics according to design engineering. If you do a left turn on several different boards those turns must all look unique. If the designer has done their job, each turn should be exaggerated so to viewers it should be obvious it's a different turn.

LOL, you okay bro? Seriously, I'm sorry that this review put you into such a negative mental space. Hope you have a better day going forward.
@Gma77883 күн бұрын
Control yourself! You say you don't want people to tell you what to do but here you are telling your audience AND manufacturers that you know best. Look at you! You ride all these unique boards THE SAME WAY. YOU just can't stop yourself doing tricks on boards that the manufacturer never intended it to do tricks. I can easily point 👉 out your flaws. You are assessing a surfing type product on FLAT land. Really?! Control yourself. Just cause you can push off with your foot, that's NOT 🏄♀️ surfing.

This is definitely where it's at! I never got heavily into skating but we used to do it a lot when the surf was flat. One of my favorite things to do was slides and ollieing onto curbs and stuff. I can't wait to get to where I can do that on my Smoothstar!!! There's been about a 30 year gap since I skated so it's taking me a while but combining street and surfskate looks like sooo much fun!!
