Hi Linda, even after only 2 lunch & learn sessions I have already gained valuable insights and learned much. Thank you for the valuable work you are doing!

Thank you Linda and everyone for another stimulating discussion 🙏 I practice mindfulness and gratitude and staged breathing during anxious low moments and for physical resilience , regardless of the weather, I slip on my trainers and go out for a walk which helps with mindfulness and try and reason with myself and put everything in perspective to keep a check in a mental health…although I love working as a freelancer in education, it can be quite volatile and unpredictable so I also keep myself in check everyday and work on a contract as if it’s my last 😊 🙏🙏

Thank you Linda for your expert insights and my gratitude to everyone for sharing their experiences..I’m 56 and for the last 9 years since my divorce. I work freelance in education and I’m constantly networking, being interviewed snd choosing contracts that work for me..I remember 9 years ago when I signed for unemployment, I am so grateful I was put on the New Enterprise Allowance (NEA) in the UK 🇬🇧 which allowed me to learn essential skills to start my own business and get support with writing a business plan - the staff who ran the programme were incredible 🙏🙏 💙 I never take any contract for granted and my business was severely impacted by Covid but I’ve successfully diversified through CPD..I don’t plan to ever quit work tbh !? I love what I do it held to keep me in my zone..As long as my health is good, I will carry on.,good work is beneficial to one’s health thank you 🙏🙏

Thank you for the support, Ed. I know things come up, but a quick messge, eithe before, or even after the missed appointment is the professional thing to do.

Watched the replay and another thought came to mind re: the job seeker who created the 'Open to Work' post. Being in his shoes before, I am sure he was focused on getting the word out and may not have a good list of companies of interest. I know I didn't for about a good 30 days post being out of work. We need to remember that there is ALLOT for an individual to think about and do once they are out of work. Their emotions are all of the place and some may struggle with just getting started.

Insightful analysis ! Could you share some secrets or unknown rules to get a first high paying job as fresher with internship after completing engineering & not depend on job hopping after some months ? Where should i apply more in start ups or mnc companies ? Which type of roles usually do get more earnings is it designing or execution part.. which soft skills should i showcase and learn to stay ahead in the game ? Any top books recommendations around this topic to help me land a good pay job ..
