Excellent tutorial! I just finished removing my radio and it took only 9 minutes. 1. Do not use anything other than plastic to remove the cover. 2. If you can, use a magnetized screwdriver or a magnetized sleeve on your screwdriver to remove the 4 screws. 3. Each of the wire harnesses are easy to remove and each is of a different type/size to make reinstallation much easier! Thanks for your guidance, Dave

1. DISCONNECT BATTERY. Remove 2 Philips screws upper instrument pannel, remove 1 Philips screw next to power outlet, remove 2, 7mm bolts from below steering column, pull down on column and remove Philips screws. Remove center dash piece with your hands, Lower steering column to make easier. Unplug all mulls connectors on left and right side. Remove 3 7mm bolts from stereo. Unplug stereo plugs. Figured this would be easier for you to remember!

The fuse switch on and off what is that for

My front passenger door handle is partially broken off, but the handle still works. My driver's door handle quit working, so I HAD TO replace it. The TOUGHEST part of the job was disconnecting and reconnecting the connector to the master switch control panel. I was wondering what the connectors were like on the front passenger door. I found this video that shows a good view of that. I dreaded seeing TWO connectors on that control panel! However, they DO appear easier to disconnect and reconnect. I'm going to remove the armrest and control switch panel on that front passenger door while that handle is still working and just CHECK those connectors to see if they're going to be easier to deal with. Then I'll know if it's going to be a quick fix or another fight to get them disconnected and reconnected. At least, this time, I'll know what I'm up against. I did not expect to have such difficulty disconnecting the connector on the driver's door, so it took a lot longer than I thought it would. Good thing I did it on a day where I had the time to deal with that.

If you need to buy fuses, Kia uses Micro LP (low profile) fuses in that box. Took me days to find that info, and 3 orders from Amazon to get the right ones.

Probably my least favorite radio to work on, and we do like 5/6 of them a month. This is the worst of the Cadillac Que screens to pull but once you do it a few times you can get it out in about 10 minutes

Good video. I have a 2015 convertible, and after watching the video, it took less than 5 minutes to remove the speaker. Ford did some easy access stuff there for sure, and nothing broke. Mind you it was 2024 july in Florida, so things were warm and pliable. Nothing cracked either. Great video!

Quick question: my amp suddenly quit working and after buying a new one and testing all the wires, my remote isn’t getting juice with the ignition off or on. I kept the factory head unit, so do you think the installer would have used the area under the dash or the head unit for the remote wire connection?

Is the radio and the AC hook up all one panel. I wannna be able to take the radio out and put in my own radio and still be able to hook up the AC

Seams the factory radio has filters from the head unit that filters out the bass going to the rear speakers. I found this out from tapping into the wires in the door sills for the rear. Are there any known wire colors for the front speakers that i can access without taking the door panel off?
