Смотрел я и оригинал, честно - так и не понял смысла поступка водилы тягача. Единственное объяснение - слабоумие и отвага. Хз, честно))))

Greetings from Japan.🇯🇵 I watched "Duel" on a Japanese foreign film program when I was a child. The vast wilderness of the United States and the classic but wonderful car chase. And I remember that the last scene, which left only a vague sense of anxiety, "How do I get home now?", left a strong impression on me.😱 The Beam NG reenactment has no dialogue or narration. There is only the music from the movie, and camerawork and 3D modeling that are as faithful to the actual footage as possible. However, I was so immersed in watching it that I didn't even notice the length of the hour.😍 This is not just proof that your reenactment work is excellent, but also that Spielberg's original film had a "level of perfection that does not require explanation in words" just like classic silent films. I thank you for giving me the opportunity to notice this strange fact. Please continue to do good work.👍 By the way, as a Japanese person, I can't help but see the 1969 Dodge Coronet as a 1969 Nissan Skyline GT-R (hako-suka), and it makes me laugh.😂 Japanese cars in the 1970s were full of car designs that could only be considered plagiarized American cars.😓 I love Japanese cars from the 1970s, but knowing this fact, I don't feel like getting too angry about the current design thefts made by China and Korea.😌 Many Japanese people today tend to ignore this historical background and look down on American cars unconditionally, but up until my grandfather's generation, many people thought that "Japanese cars are like toys compared to American cars."😲 Professional wrestlers Rikidozan and Giant Baba owned Cadillacs, and baseball player Masaichi Kaneda owned a Chrysler New Yorker. Sumo wrestlers who won championships held celebratory parades in Lincolns. For the Japanese of the wartime generation, American cars were also a "status symbol for success."😄 In fact, Japanese car engineers of this era, such as Shinichiro Sakurai and Osamu Suzuki, evaluated American cars as "great and difficult to catch up with." They were also survivors of World War II, and while they admired American industrial products, they also saw them as powerful enemies that they had to defeat someday. Their obsession to surpass American cars went from the copycat designs of the 1970s, through the turbocharged era of the 1980s, and finally came to fruition with the JDM muscle cars of the 1990s.😢

This is the car that the KGB used to drive. It was a special modification of the classic old Volga that had a V8 in it. No wonder people were so afraid of it, and still are.

If Steven Spielberg had made a presentation (pitch or teleplay) of his movie and had this tool (BeamNG.drive) in 1971, I'm sure he would have done it the same way as you.

I've seen the movie probably a dozen times over the years and you absolutely nailed the shots and camera views from the movie. Did a great job of recreating the menacing tension of the cat and mouse vibe too! Great job!
