Can you ruin an engine if not properly installed? And if so how long will it take for the engine to fail?

@@quintinmoran23 yes it can if the timing is off by 1️⃣ gear ⚙️ it will start and run and drive fine but you will get a check engine light you can drive for long period of time with that with normal driving of by 2 gears will start but gonna KNOCK if you give it a lot of gas anything over that will crank with no start and cause engine damage I have a new video coming up with detailed information on how to properly time it

What is the part called that needs to be replaced and the part number?
What about underneath the back seat? What is the fix for that? I actually think that's the issue with mine because i get the fuel smell everything I fill up and the smell appears to be coming from the back area..

@@elmerfudd835 ok so all you have to do is left up the back seat and you will see a cover on both sides with about four 8mm bolts open each one and if it’s wet under either or both you have to change the fuel pump housing but it’s highly likely it’s the one under the passenger back seat the fuel pump housing has a tendency of cracking

When tightening the new chain tensioner it takes it way off top dead center.

I have the tool to lock them in place. I am thinking the chain on the intake side might not be tight enough.

Yes, all parts came from a local MB dealership. All lines (arrows) line up. When screwing in the chain tensioner it immediately moves from O|T before the tensioner is activated. A slight degree might be reasonable but 10 is a bit much. With the chain being loose from crank to intake sprocket- that is my reasoning why it needs to be tighter. I just didn’t want to move the phaser and mess up the cam alignment.

Aye bro! Which ones are the oil lines? I just put on my turbo and she’s leaking oil somewhere….can you please let me know all the oil lines on the turbo please

@@laieakana8360 there is only two oil line on the turbo a line that feeds oil to the turbo and a return line to return oil back to the oil pan both lines has a rubber gasket so check those first

do you happen to know the t30 bolt that holds the camshaft sensor in ? Mine slipped while putting back on and does not go all the way in and need to replace that thanks

Liked and subscribed. I just purchased a 2013 c250 throwing out code P0245 which is turbo wastegate solenoid A low, I replaced the turbo diverter valve thinking it may be stuck open but still throwing the code and car in limp mode. I’ll check wiring next but any idea what it could be?

@@angelsalinas3075 change the turbo waste gate regulator and check the the 3 vacuum lines that go to it for leaks and change the turbo waste gate actuator

When you spin the engine does it have constant tension on the chain or does it relaxes when it’s at TD and bdc? My ignition angle on my scanner is bouncing from -10 to 15 at start up

@@samsing9215 once the tensioner is in good working condition there should always be tension on the chain no matter the position it’s in .

1. It can be caused by to much oil being in the engine so it’s blocking the free flow of the oil drain line from the turbo 2. It could be caused by an failed 0 ring seal the seals off each turbine wheels from oil flow 3. Check if your oil drain line is kinked or bent reducing oil flow from the turbo

No they don’t need to be programmed just make sure you connect the oil and coolant lines correctly and you’ll be good to go
