It's an APB 2.7T bored to 82.5mm. Not all of the AHA/ATQ 2.8L have 4 bolt mains, so it's better to build a 2.7T. Can't believe people still watch this video!

Wow. Was searching some old NORBA results & found your video link. OLN's camera man was just above you for that footage of Kovarik's race run. That's back when he was faster than everyone but his back wheels kept exploding because of those damn ITS tires. I got a separated shoulder when they gave us a practice run in Cat 1 day of the race (first time they'd ever done that) in the drop into to Spin Cycle b/c my chain snapped. Had to climb out of that ravine one armed with a lad EMT's hand in my butt shoving me up a climbing rope. Love that course. The rocks in Barney Rubble got smaller as the weekend went on as we kept splitting them with bash guards and pedals. Peaty beat The Alien who had come over from Europe to get in a race before the Canadian World Cup the next week. Then Peaty did the exact same shoulder injury in Canada. Voillouz raced the only bike he had, a V Process DH bike, in the Pro slalom & only lost to Lopes in the round of 8 by 1/10th a second.

Thank you, gets the job done. I am using the Ferrari 599FXX dash from simhub. I've modified it a little bit, but next step I want to make the tach blue rather than yellow. I also want to make the map a bit bigger. I generally drive the GT3 Cup car, but I'm not a fan of the GT3 Cup dash.

What attachments do you have in the back of your truck?
@raacerx2 Жыл бұрын
Its got a Yakima rack, and then I've created custom attachment points, although there are plenty of aftermarket ones available. I find most of the "overland" stuff is so expensive, I try to make my own. I modified a gun case to fit my fishing poles, and then used some existing hardware to attach the traction boards. However, I've since removed the side attachments as they make accessing the bed super hard, and I also got a DECKED unit.

Great video did you take the hoops off the steps it looks way better with them off and you gain ground clearance
@raacerx23 жыл бұрын
Yeah, removed the hoops for clearance and I kept bashing my shin on them. My buddy made me a bunch of 3D printed inserts to fill the holes and I glued them in, so it looks like a regular rock slider. They're pretty damn beefy too for stock. My only complaint is that they don't stick out enough to push the body away from rocks.

It's been surprisingly capable. I have no plans to lift it or really do anything except a rear bumper to help raise the hitch. Easily tackled every Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced trail I've been able to find in an OHV.
@TheBeatenPaths3 жыл бұрын
@@raacerx2 Agreed, don't lift it. It's lifted enough. The option I'd add are the hood hinge lights from Ford Performance. Easy installation with your pre-wired switches. And "maybe" the performance upgrade, maybe.
@raacerx23 жыл бұрын
@@TheBeatenPaths I've got the Ford Performance tune to keep it CARB legal, made a huge difference. Got a downpipe too but haven't installed. I didn't want to pay $100 for the brackets for the hood hinge lights, so I got some for a Tacoma and spent 5 mins modifying them. Works great. $20 for the brackets on Amazon, and $8 for the LED's on Amazon Warehouse. Woot!

Hi there raacerx2. Stephen Axford fungi photographer and I - fungi videographer were recently at Mt Kaputar and are doing a little video to post on our youtube and IGTV and FB Planet Fungi channels for people to watch for free. It is focused on the rare pink slugs there that are fungivores. Upside was we were there during foul weather cold and wet that the slugs loved - downside was we didn't get any general views of Mt Kaputar. I came across your wonderful drone footage and am wondering if we can use a small amount of it to establish where we are. I have no money to offer but can give you an on-screen credit for the duration of the shot. Drone footage by ??? whatever you want. Here are links to our sites .... instagram.com/planet_fungi/ and kzbin.info/door/UcAV0sDq_sC955ENdVJAVQ and facebook.com/planetfungi/ We really appreciate your consideration of this request and you can email me on [email protected]

Did you upgrade the cams by any chance ?
@raacerx24 жыл бұрын
They were the stock AHA 30v 2.8L exhaust and intake cams on built 2.8L AHA heads with Supertech valves, springs, and retainers. All exhaust cams are the same for all the 30V 2.7T and 2.8L motors (APB, AHA, ATQ, RS4, etc). The intake cams are different though, and the 2.8L intake cams are designed to take advantage of the much larger intake ports in the 2.8L naturally aspirated cylinder heads. The RS4 intake cams are in between the stock S4 2.7T and the 2.8L NA. Since I was running a 6262 turbo, I was more concerned with top end power and high flow.
