Great video David. Really nice job. I was not aware of the Sescom SES-XLR-MAX. That might be something I can add to ease the workflow. Do you use the same audio interface now? I use the Apollo Twin X. Thanks

Hi, Thank you for a great video. I have 3 quick questions for you regarding this video. (1) When you talking about the "INFO" tab you mentioned that you type in your website in order for people to listen to your radio show. So Is there a specific media player that you need on your website to play your online radio station through? (2) When you were talking about the "Share" tab you mentioned that the URL shown is what you would give people to tune into your Radio Station. In order for people to listen to your Radio Station with that URL what software or application will they need in order for that URL to work? (3) When you were discussing the "SERVER" you mentioned that you were using the Inbuilt Server on your computer. Do you recommend this as the best option for people wanting to have their own Internet Radio Station or could you recommend some Online Servers that I could use to connect to my Nice Cast program? Any information that you could help me with would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi David, I visit your site for the online course. I would like to take it however i see beginners such as myself should not take it. Any suggestions on how a newbie as myself should begin the journey into voice overs?

What is the best way to improve ones voice? Make it fuller and better and bassier...like yours. EQ'ing can only do so much. You're a natural at it, I was not blessed with your kind of voice.
@DavidTylerTV
@DavidTylerTV 8 жыл бұрын
+EPrimeify You shouldn't have to rely on any audio processing to create "that sound". Everybody has it, it's a matter of finding it and "freeing" it. Breathing exercises and learning to relax will get you started. A good vocal coach can help you. In my online course, one of the bonus videos is "finding your maximum resonance point". I'm not suggesting you take the VO course just for that one video unless you're interested in making a living doing voice over but if you are, check it out here: www.UltimateVoiceOverGuide.com/SAVE100 A book that I recommend to my VO students is this one: www.amazon.ca/dp/0896762505

I have a question you may or may not be able to answer. I use the system audio source mainly because I use Garage band to program my show, however during idle time (not on air) my vocal patch is near zero latency but as soon as I go live I get a substantial amount of delay maybe half second delay. Now I am NOT monitoring the show from the server, in which a delay would be expected, I am monitoring the audio in real time so Im not sure what is causing the delay by merely switching from off air to on air. Any ideas??? I have been in contact with Rougue and they don't seem to either understand what I am saying or the genesis of the problem. Hosting a live show is what I do so having no latency is a must because it can get very distracting to the point of being tongue tied.
@DavidTylerTV
@DavidTylerTV 8 жыл бұрын
+Josh Enos There should't be a delay at all. Perhaps when you go live the system audio source gets looped. Try using iTunes as your source (rather than GarageBand) and see if there's a delay still. Other than that you'll need to speak with Rogue Amoeba...
@joshenos77
@joshenos77 8 жыл бұрын
I tried actually using both as the source and got a bad static. I did change my sources for Garageband from my interface to system audio and now its next to nothing as far as latency. Not perfect but tolerable.

i think i know what john meant by vertically centered, and unfortunately i did the same thing. just recently purchased a smart phone and didn't realize that i was supposed to hold it horizontal when taking videos. i just came back from Italy and took a bunch of video, when i transferred to my pc to edit and make a dvd, i realized i messed up. all my videos came out sideways, i googled how to rotate and one solution was movie maker, but when i rotated back , it added black pillars and the video doesn't fill the screen. anyways, i also had read that playing them in quicktime player orients them properly and when i tried it, it did play them perfectly,( no black pillars) and in the perfect orientation, i didn't even need to manually rotate them. my question is, if i were to upgrade to quicktime pro, to edit, can i save the videos after editing, and for them to be saved the way quicktime was showing them in the player. thanks

I am using Nicecast to do an Internet radio show, using Skype audio to connect to my co-host and to add in the guest to be interviewed... But every 30 minutes I am supposed to run station IDs and promos via iTunes... I am using Application Mixer, and I selected iTunes, and I have the Crossfade at 50%, and I click Hijack when I want to switch... but the iTunes stuff won't play... FYI I am broadcasting via the remote server for the network I belong to... (Hey Z Radio). Any idea what I am doing wrong?

Hi I have the problem that my video was recorded sideway using an iPhone just like your video. When I use a video editing software I rotated the video to the left and yes it fixes the video into the correct position that it is meant to be in, however the problem is now that the video is not stretched out at the sides of the video player(not widescreen) and it is just very vertically centred(narrow) if you know what I mean. Would you know anyway to stretch this video out at the sides so that it is widescreen? I would be really grateful to you if you could tell me any solutions to fixing this problem if it is possible. Thanks a lot :)
@DavidTylerTV
@DavidTylerTV 10 жыл бұрын
Hi John, if your video was recorded like in my example it should look fine now. I'm not sure what you mean by "vertically centred". Stretching it out horizontally will create another problem of it's own.

Hi Enrico, this was covered in an earlier comment (below): "Under 'Effects' if you've already inserted VoiceOver...click on EDITOR. In the window that opens click on Crossfade. You'll see a slider that moves horizontally between 'Source' and 'Voice'. When you want to talk slide it toward 'Voice' and talk...when you want to go back to the music slide it toward 'Source'."
