Does the Scarlett just connect to the Mac via USB C? And I imagine you need to select the Scarlett as an Audio output in your sound settings.

the scarlet connects to the mac. and yes, you have to change the audio outputs in the settings.

Unfortunately, your title "Transferring Sony Hi8 camcorder footage to computer." implies that this video will help with transferring analog Hi8 movies to a computer, but that camcorder you are using, the Sony DCR-TRV280 is a Digital8 Handycam, so it cannot play "Hi8" movies that were recorded on original analog Hi8 camcorders, only digital recordings that were captured on a Hi8 tape using Digital 8 format.

You can put an empty cartridge in it and trick it into thinking you're printing pictures so you can transfer them to your phone.

Its really annoying that so many features are greyed out and you cant add them to "my menu" that does not make any sense. It would be nice if every feature was able to be added to the Q menu. I also don't like that when using the toggle switch as a custom function you have to hold it down for a few seconds for it to activate.

Thanks for your objective content. I appreciate stuff like this! I am having an issue myself, and maybe you can help. I have an Ipod Nano 7th Generation and a MacBook air 2017 (13inch). I have my Ipod Nano synched and music does so no problem. However, I can't seem to get my Podcasts (in my Podcast app) to upload no matter what I try. Do you know if it's because my OS version no longer uses Itunes and uses Apple Music & Podcast apps, and the Nano was designed for Itunes, not Apple Music & Podcasts apps? That is the only explanation I can think of. I have tried going through all options and settings. Ideas? THANKS! -Gunnar

hey thanks for watching! there is a special podcast app if you are using a mac. have you tried using that and see if it will sync? apple music should recognize it too.

@@isaacmijangos I have, and it won't synch them. It allows me to check the box, but nothing ever comes up in the two columns where you would choose which podcasts to put in your IPod library.

you will need both. thunderbolt to usb, usb a to usb c, and the black firewire cable

Nah it's all good! The OG series was really memorable to me. HoO not so much (sorry Jason), although I thought it was really cool how he blended Roman myths and added more characters from Camp Jupiter.
