I had no idea that Al knew, let alone lived with, Tim. It's amazing when you look back at people and ideas that’ve influenced you, and realize that they converge around such fundamental and core ideas and philosophies.

Great interview! Very candid, down to earth. Your interest in Sean was so genuine and it really came through in your interview questions. Thank you 🕊️❤️🙏

Sean has such a great personality. She sounds very candid, honest, and down to earth. Artistically, she's very inspiring to listen to. It's like she grew up without having any fear of really putting herself out there and expressing herself the way she wanted. God bless Sean. So sweet. 🙏🕊️❤️

Amy Yates, Do you remember the Dead Kennedy’s Show when it was so packed we had to let one person out to allow one person in, they were all so pissed the ly mobbed the street (Calhoun/Brunswick-MLK) the fire department came and used High Pressure High Volume H2O to control them? I do also. Venom and Black Flag, two or three days before, I got sucker punched and my jaw got broken, I had emergency surgery, jaw wired to my maxilla, under general anesthetic, I didn’t get the pain medicine, only the sedative, felt all 20 holes drilled through my mouth, then the next night Randy gave me the rest of the night off after Black Flag and put me next to Big John Berlagga (Rock Dreams Heathens Rage) and Conrad “Cronos” Landt in between tracks talking about the huge pitcher of Castlemaine Ale he had in stage from a Keg he brought with him from England, took a massive chug, and launched the rest of the two gallons directly into my 17 year old face, it gushed up my nose and I gagged, and was barely able to keep from asphyxiating, (mouth wired shut, you can’t barf, where’s it going to go) Cronos looked right at me, pointing his expression, complete surprise, Big John, yup, saw Cronos point and turned around to see me (we worked together at the Yardville Texaco Truckstop on 130 vje saw me soaked and even though I was literally fearing for my life from drowning in delicious British Pale Ale, ( he didn’t know I had a broken Jaw, don’t believe he would have reacted any differently of he did, looked me in my face, laughed and turned around. Glanced over his shoulder, still laughing harder, shook his head. Thats another story, but how epic to be drowned in Beer By a Black Metal Icon in a crowd of people I know, who had no idea! I would be, and was honored! I loved City Gardens, Randy, Don, Danny, Dave, Mike, the nice black man ( I can not remember his name, he usually opened up for us and switched on the lights to get ready for load out) one of Trenton’s nicest people.

A very engaging and comprehensive oral history of the Seattle music scene in the late 80's and early 90's. But as other posters have pointe out, it would have been interesting to hear his perspective on Greg Prato's "Grunge is Dead", a very similar (if shorter) book that was published two years earlier in 2009.
