When you say a shampoo and conditioner doesn’t have to be from the same line are you meaning that they don’t have to be from the same brand or the same line within a brand. Some brands have multiple lines within their brand.
@tootilab5 күн бұрын
Both, they don't have to be from the same brand and they don't have to be from the same line within a brand. Of course, most brands will design their shampoo and conditioner to work well together, but if you don't like one it doesn't mean that you cannot use the other

What are your thoughts about using a something similar to a wet brush to distribute the gel through your hair?
@tootilab8 күн бұрын
Depends on the gel you use! If it has a good slip, like ours, then it’s a great technique. If it’s a more thick/sticky formula better not - you’re better off brushing the hair before and then using the gel

Hi are your products water soluble?
@tootilab16 күн бұрын
If by water-soluble you are referring specifically to silicones, you'll be happy to know that none of our products contain any silicones - water soluble or not. If you're referring about the overall water solubility of the formula, I'm afraid the reality is that no cream-based product can be water-soluble. There's a lot of misinformation on the internet regarding this. Creams are emulsions created by a mixture of water and oils, and no oil is ever water soluble. They always need surfactants to be cleansed away. Any brand who claims the opposite is not being truthful.

Hi I see your shampoo and conditioner doesn’t contain any proteins?

@MarcP52675 күн бұрын
@@tootilabmay I ask why the shampoo and conditioner doesn’t contain protein?
@tootilab5 күн бұрын
@@MarcP5267 there was no benefit in adding them. The purpose of these products is gentle cleansing and moisturising, not repairing, so adding proteins wouldn't have improved their performance
@MarcP52675 күн бұрын
@@tootilab ok sounds logical. Question, why do most hair care brands have protein in their products then? Some have them higher in ingredients list and some have them lower which means “higher or lower concentrate of proteins.
@tootilab5 күн бұрын
@@MarcP5267 that's not really true :) some products have proteins and others don't. It's all down to what the purpose of that specific product is. Normally, proteins are used for strengthening and repairing, so they're often found in products with that function!

¿How do you get your roots so curly?
@tootilab28 күн бұрын
It's a combination of the right haircut, applying my products close to the roots and scrunching, drying with my head upside down and genetics! Not all curls curl from the root, especially looser patterns

While I do agree that gels are the best hold product in the market, a lot of people don't like gels or it doesn't suit them. For example, I get terrible breakouts on my face when I use gel. After a lot of experimentation I found out that the gels that have synthetic polymers in them give me acne. I have since switched to plant based gels only like flaxseed and aloe. Also some people with fine hair may prefer a mousse over gel since it won't weigh them down.

It doesn’t help that hair thickness does not equal thick hair… English is failing us here 😬 I think of it as quality vs quantity with quality referring to individual hair strands and quantity to how many hairs you have on your head
@tootilab3 ай бұрын
That is so true 😅 and that's a great way to look at it! I've started to refer to it as thick strands when thinking about the individual hairs, and thick hair when it's the overall quantity
