Absolutely beautiful! Reminds me of A Small river? In my Beloved Wales. My Dear Father would use his 4 Piece Greenheart Rod with a Walnut and Brass Reel ( Which I Treasure!) I used to always say " Dad ,turn the ratchet Off on your reel.) Ah ,bless his memory! God bless you ( Pops) I haven't cast A Line since he passed away! Still dress My Flys , and glance at your Rod & Reel ( Pops) R.I.P Love from Jim.

Beautiful! Those are incredible fish from such a small river, it doesn't look like a chalk stream. I'm not going to ask you where, if it were my river I wouldn't publicise it! I've tried to do something similar earlier this year, although much more ametuer! It's mayfly time on a Northern stream (Lancashire) after the 1st lockdown in 2020. Please take a look, there's a few on my channel. It's soul trader 57. Mayfly magic no 2. Regards, Dave

I have a couple older lower end bamboo rods. I started fly fishing with them. I have tried many times to jump into newer graphite rods but always end up returning them and going back to my bamboo rods. The experience is so much more spiritual when using a tactile rod. You feel everything. Casting is just so soft and smooth. Planning on making a purchase this fall of a new bamboo rod.

As an expat living the west indies, I miss. Sea trout at night on the Towy in june. Draught Guinness, Donna kebabs...oh, shooting a buck at daybreak. My heart is heavy with what is happening at home.

What are bamboo rods like to cast? should do a video explaining the difference in feel as no one else has done it yet on YT. Is it noticeably different to a fibre/carbon rod? what sort of action do they have? can they be all kinds of actions? could make a interesting video.
