Before the days of DVRs and VCRs or any recording capabilities, I would get up at 6:30 on Saturday mornings to watch her shows. I learned so much and my sewing acquired that store bought look. She was like an old friend. Preyers to the family...Will miss her...

Hi Nancy, i noticed that it was mentioned higher pixel means clear picture, were Tammie choose 71 pixel but later in the video when you are holding that printout of her grandfather & under that it is showing 6 fabrics lighter to darker in that page on top it shows finished size will be 19*26, (watched video 9:21) I am confused if she choose 71 pixel then how come the finished size will be so small 19*26. Because when I choose 71 pixel, it is showing me finished size will 70. Why there is so much difference.

For a complete description of pixel, go to Techopedia.com. In simple terms, a pixel is a dot. More pixels or dots creates a better quality picture. A pixel does not determine the finished size. For personal assistance, please write me at [email protected]

Thank you for all Canadians that cannot view PBS shows without a subscription. I do have an extensive DVD and book library from many years of Nancy Zieman inspiration but KZbin videos are accessible to the financially poor if they have internet connections! I will long to see your friendly face and hear your loving voice and messages of encouragement forevermore. My mother was an expert fashion fitter and seamstress. She could modify a pattern and customize for me out of bolt remnants. Last month she passed along her sacred sewing shears to me. Unfortunately, she could never teach me what was intuitive and obvious to her. You taught me how to be patient with myself and learn the basics and with results, I learned "with confidence" to challenge myself. Slowly I acquired new machines and furniture and this is after decades of watching your recommendations. This process transferred to life skills development and gave me peace when I was able to achieve successes in my hobby. Making a dress out of the same colour of fabric as the reception area of a national corporation won me an entry-level job in a new career. Eventually I transitioned into health services and returned to university for a degree. One has to be patient to attempt that and a faith in God to feel that to be worthwhile during our shortlived working lives. Your role model touched me whenever I felt less than and gave me hope to be brave so many times. I will always see you in my mind's eye as a gift to us all and try to keep our hope for the adventures that continue. You have been a good soul sharing so much to us all. We love you Nancy.

This is so cool, but why are you using a fusible stablilizer when you are not fusing each piece down? Are you just pressing it all at the end?

Eileen Roche uses a soft cut-away stabilizer such as polymesh. Here's a link: www.nancysnotions.com/product/no+show+mesh+stabilizer+12%22+x+10+yd+roll.do?extid=fbnz&code=NNOADV-1310

For free motion quilting can we use the sewing machine which we use for patch work quilting?😊
@SewingWithNancyWithNancyZieman

Absolutely. Almost any sewing machine can piece the quilt and do free-motion by dropping the feed dogs so you can move the quilt freely in any direction.

Hi, Nancy. Since I am unable to get your televised shows, I been watching them through your website. Lately, however, I haven't been able to download the videos properly. Each time I try, the message comes up saying "Flash plugin failed to load". Eventually I've been able to get two of the videos, using youtube. Even with that, though, right when I'm engrossed in the show, it goes off and a new message comes up, saying, "You've just watched a selected excerpt" and in a box below, it says, "Continue watching". Regardless of how many ways I try, I'm unable to get the video back to where it left off. Have other people had the same problems lately? You're such a great teacher, Nancy; your explanations and and demos make it easy and enjoyable to learn new sewing and quilting skills and I love to watch them. Please let me know what I can do to easily download those videos again.
