Sacrificing a goat or a bull does not wipe away our sin but will only act an object of tolerance but the Israelites and the Jews did not understand the meaning of sin offering and considered themselves purified of sins and with the zeal to face God climbed Mount Sinai rejecting Moses and they were destroyed by the fire of God. Along with them all the cattle grazing on the mount were also burnt to death yet without understanding this people only increased their sins and the rich only increased their sin offerings of goats and bulls. Those who were poor sinned a little lesser and gave lesser sin offerings and by doing this they only made the Laws given by God as an object of ridicule and shame.
