Im having a problem on a zd1511 zero turn regen. It's stuck in the park regen mode and I've allowed the computer to do its regen mode but it still won't clear. Even afyer blocking radiator to allow to get hotter it still won't come out of regen mode. What csn i do? Does it need to go back to kubota for laptop analysis?

Hi Chris, we at 1st Choice Equipment are a Kubota Construction Equipment dealer only, we do not handle mowers. I would recommend you contact your nearest Kubota dealer and ask them this question. You can find a dealer at www.kubotausa.com and click on the dealer locater.

I forgot to mention a few more things. You had better be very careful dumping any load that is not on a completely flat surface. I had the machine for about one hour and a friend of mine was testing it out moving some dirt on my property, he rolled it over to about 45 degrees. The only reason it didn’t go completely over was the bucket caught the dirt pile and stopped it. I pulled it back over with my tractor. There is something very strange in the movement in the front axil due to the rotating connecting pivot in the front end. I was on somewhat sloped ground moving brush very carefully and low to the ground and still managed to pick up one front wheel off the ground 4 times. The pivot should have been designed with a torsion type of resistance to help resist the rolling movement of the front in relation to the back end. I am probably going to load the front tires to help keep them on the ground. Another issue is with the mechanism used to lift the loader bucket. I found that if you try to back drag the bucket it actually flexes and will not hold firm. I looked it over and could not figure out how it is able to do this other than having so many linkages that each one of them contribute to the flex. It does come in handy if you roll the bucket completely forward and forward drag the bucket to level ground. It doesn’t jam the bucket due to the flex. Over time this may hurt the linkages due to the leverage on them. The wheel base is very narrow with no capability to move them out. With the onset of emissions control, it is necessary for the engines to run hard at high throttle to clear the particulates from the system. On this machine, the only time it is at high throttle is in low gear. In high gear you can’t throttle it or you will loose control. In the end this is not good for the life of the emissions system to work properly. In conclusion I would have to say it is a very nice machine if you want to stay warm with great views while deer hunting. If you want to use it for what it was designed for you better stay on flat smooth ground so you don’t kill yourself or destroy the machine. This is the result of some very good concepts that were not tested in real life. Get with the program Kubota!
@daniels983 ай бұрын
You forgot the biggest downside of the new unit, it only has a high low transmission. I use mine around the farm. The low is for picking up piles and is too slow trying to move any distance. The high is uncontrollable on just about any surface except flat like a road. I have tried to keep most of my foot off the pedal so I can control it better. It doesn’t work. I am considering putting in a throttle knob to control it better or just getting rid of the machine all together . What idiot engineer decided to get rid of the 5 speed transmission. I can say that being I am a engineer myself. Sometimes I think they don’t bother even testing there design out before dumping it on a bunch of suckers like myself.

Hey, we have a kubota u27-4. We're having this exacte pressure problem on the auxiliary system n°1. We can pop in the right one without problem, but not the left one. Any advice on how to release that pressure? We tried the same method but didn't work. Since it's a slightly different machine, maybe it's a different way.
@1stchoiceequipment1363 ай бұрын
I might recommend doing a similar method, only try relieving the auxiliary pressure. If this doesn't help, contact your local Kubota dealer. Their service department hopefully can recommend something.
@00thibault3 ай бұрын
@@1stchoiceequipment136 thanks. We did try that, and it relieved the pressure on the right pipe, but the left pipe is unaffected. We'll call our dealership then. Thanks again.

Which would be best for a rental fleet?
@1stchoiceequipment1364 ай бұрын
There is not one right answer. We recommend basing it on your location and type of dig requirements are most popular. The U48 has a little more reach and lift capabilities but the 40 has 6" more dig depth. If there are more homeowners renting then the U48 might be better with the zero tail swing.

Would the k008 be able to lift a 200 lb log?
@1stchoiceequipment1364 ай бұрын
The short answer is yes. The more detailed answer is how far is your reach and how high do you need to lift. According to the specs it should lift 330 lbs with the blade down over the front at the longest arm reach, but it is always dependent on the lift height. Here is the spec sheet: www.1stchoiceequipment.com/fckimages/literature/Kubota%20Excavators/Kubota%20K008.pdf

This video does not say how hot to run the machine or for how long. If you have smoke billowing out of the machine, and the smoke goes from black to white after a time, congrats, you've just run all of your oil out of the machine and need a new motor. The machine should automatically start the regen process. It should regen for a certain time around 20 minutes and get your machine hot to a certain temperature according to your owners manual which you should read thoroughly. Do not hit the switch to delay the regen. Just let it do its thing.... and read the operation manual thoroughly!
@1stchoiceequipment1365 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment and glad you also agree to not hit the switch to delay the regen. It's tough say how long your machine will run, every manufacturer is a little different. Like you said... read the operation manual thoroughly.

No i dont want a simple turn of the wrench, I want a simple push of the button from the cab so i can switch back n forth as much and as often as I like. Why is this such a foreign concept? Cant this be done with the same type of electronic diverter valve that many other machines (especially tractors for loader/grapple ops)?
@1stchoiceequipment1365 ай бұрын
We agree that this is not a new concept and is part of the development process on small excavators. We also have to consider the engineering, mechanics and costs added to the machine. Kubota is usually not the first to the dance, however they will develop a product that is reliable. Thanks for the input.

@@1stchoiceequipment136 : He didn't actually invent it but he was instrumental in opening it up from exclusive government & university research use to the general public. He was also instrumental in opened up WAAS GPS to the general public, which until then had been limited to military use only. As a pilot I appreciated this because it made GPS accurate to within approximately 36 inches thus allowing for far more accurate navigation and safer landings in IRF conditions. Also: Great video! It was very helpful as I has forgotten the procedure for releasing hydro pressure.

I’ll give you a track nightmare story. I rented a John Deere 333G with 60 hours on it. They sent the machine with a tooth bucket that was 20” narrower than the tracks. It is supposed to have an 84” or wider bucket and not a 64” bucket. I was digging a trench and as I got deeper I heard the tracks grinding and sounding like they were coming off. Eventually one did and it wedged so hard toward the machine that it shredded 3” off the inside of the track. Mechanic came out and after 2 hours we got it back on and he left. And hour later the other side came off and also shredded but I figured out the problem. When the bucket is too narrow and you’re digging, it creates a slope because the tracks are half on high ground and half hanging over where the bucket dug. This forces the tracks to camber inward and when carrying a load, it shreds the tracks. This is also a bad design as they could put rollers between the track and the side to prevent the track from coming off and shredding.

Yep, that's a bad situation overall.

Kubota rep says to be absolutely certain to filter fuel before filling tank, so have a filter system, or at least I use a fairly inadequate fine mesh screen in my case but I do rinse out the jugs first, and do have a new filter on my 150 g transfer tank. Injectors require totally clean fuel in these, they are Japanese precision engineered...

How will the R640 handle a hydraulic powered brush hog with skid steer attachment? The one I'm considering requires 15 GPM of flow. The R640 is rated for 17.8GPM but I'm guessing that's with the engine revving up? Would the use of the inching pedal allow me to use this attachment to get the engine RPM's up without having the machine move forward to quickly?
@1stchoiceequipment13611 ай бұрын
This should work based on the flow rate, just double check the width of the brush hog, the R640 is 71" wide, make sure the brush hog is as wide.
