I guess the point to take from this instruction is that our loved ones are still very much alive and we can communicate with them? 🤔 I don't know. What I do know and the important thing is that in THIS life, we are to be concerned that we are living our lives in obedience to Jesus Christ in preparation to meet Him. Get to know Him, because at His return, He is going to be either our saviour or our judge. This commentary seems to be suggesting or stressing that we are going to live forever, and we ARE going to live forever and be with and communicate with our loved ones again.... either in Heaven or in hell. Death is not real? Yes ma'am, it IS! Those of us who love the Lord Jesus Christ and are in obedience to Him, and have made Him Lord of our lives are to tell others about Jesus so they can do the same. Christians know that our mission on this earth is to tell others about Jesus and to warn about the coming judgement of God. Being able to communicate with the dead (still alive) is not the issue or the key. Jesus is the answer.

Hi friend, thank you for your thoughts. I agree with a lot of what you say but let me ask you, how can you say death is real and then also say we live forever? those two statements by their very nature are in direct opposition to one another no?
@eddiedaugherty148511 ай бұрын
@SierraMercedesTaylor because, Sierra, there IS a physical death, but when Jesus returns, He will raise us up, and then we will live forever. We will go to live forever with the Lord in Heaven or be cast into hell. I read about the theory you were talking about years ago, but I don't remember anything about it. I haven't gone back to listen to your video, but from what I can remember, in essence, is that you said we can communicate with our loved ones and all is well with them. No, we can not communicate with our loved ones after they have left this earthly life, and sadly, our loved ones being well is only true if they died in the Lord. Otherwise, they have no peace. They are in turmoil. Everything we need to know is in God's Word, the Bible. I say in love that I know you are sincere in what you believe, but we have to know the truth. We are all going to stand before God one day, and we need to know the truth in order to be prepared before this happens; prepared in holiness and righteousness. May God bless you.

Hey. Yes absolutely, you don’t want to cover a soft cake that’ll be a mess. It just needs to be stiff enough so it doesn’t move or slide around

Thanks for the tutorial, but just wondering if its just me who always have issues using Satin Ice Fondant, like what is the best way to knead it? Cos everytime i use it, it either tears/dry so quickly or elephant skin everywhere
@SierraMercedesTaylor3 жыл бұрын
Hey Sheila!! Yea you know I’ve heard various things about satin ice but I still use it. Some people love and some people have the same issue that you’re experiencing. One fondant that I really enjoy working with is the cake boss brand.... it’s so good. I think some fondants are more fool proof which is easier for beginners, but you can learn to work with them all as you learn how to work more efficiently with the timing and thickness....using just enough dusting on the surface.... etc. try some different brands though. It seems like the more expensive they are the easier they are to manage, unfortunately

Great video. Subscribed & liked. I now realise I’ve always rushed adding & smoothing the fondant down. I’m making my son’s bday cake and I’m going to try my hardest not to rush it. Plus I see I’ve rolled my fondant too big In the past. I won’t be doing that again either. Thanks for a great video.

Well it’s a special one (21st) so I’m doing a turntable & a mixer because he likes his dance music. I definitely want to get this one right and thanks to your video I certainly won’t panic & rush the fondant this time. Fingers crossed 🤞

Ohh awesome. Congrats on that milestone. And an Aries too? Aries are the greatest......keep in mind that the kind of fondant you pick makes a difference for sure. Usually the cheaper the harder to work with......let me know if you have any questions I can help with. You’ll do great I’m sure. Having enough time to let things dry and settle is key in these kinds of cakes, also taking the time to make yourself templates out of parchment paper really helps in the carving part. And with fondant keep in mind you can always do it in pieces and smooth the seems, it doesn’t have to be one large draping
@carouselcakes62373 жыл бұрын
@@SierraMercedesTaylor Thankyou, yes it’s 2 square ones so I’ve decided to do it in pieces because here in the UK we don’t have a lot of choice re fondant it’s either supermarket brands or Renshaw’s which is probably the best. Thanks so much for those great tips though, I’ll be sure to use them and I’ll let you know how it goes. 😕

I’ve been doing this for a few days now. How do you get the edges so sharp? Just keep going over the cake?
@SierraMercedesTaylor3 жыл бұрын
So once it has set I basically use my scraper to shave the edges down and make them sharp, like shaving chocolate? Does that make sense?

This is so dope!!! Is this mixed with heavy cream?
@SierraMercedesTaylor3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. No heavy cream, although I’ve tried it that way too, that essentially makes ganache which is a little easier to work with but also softer on the cake itself so you don’t get a hard shell
