Hula Blues had me dreaming of Hawaii! It's my pleasure to be a listener with two hundred others, especially if it puts me in a brighter state of mind! Smiling as your yt music comrade

Nice and smooth. The first time I actually heard this Christian classic was way back 50 years ago (September of 1972) from a trio group called Phoenix Sonshine - one of the early Jesus Movement Rock-Pop groups I saw perform in Indiana at a Jesus Music festival held in a large barn on a farm property. I had a cassette recorder (Akai portable stereo unit) and recorded about an hour of the live music...and I still have that cassette. "The Old Gospel Ship" is a real hand clapping tune when the tempo is put in folk-rock style beat. Thanks for playing the tune. My dad [1918 - 1986] would have liked your version since he played guitar, banjo, and electric bass in his life...He even made two or three guitars (one being a Martin kit) and, two violins. His only banjo was a Vega tenor four string. It sure sounded grand way back decades ago when he bought it.

Never heard this great old song done in a guitar arrangement. Loved it!
Mahalo, Kory. I guess this meoldy is a older style of "ʻAhulili". I learned from the composer's handwriting score.

Awesome banjo playing! Have you tried “Ka Lama A’e One” ? That would be a great one to try on the banjo just like on The Sunday Manoa 3 album. Keep up the great videos 👍

Aloha, Nick. Thanx!!! I knew "Ka Lama Aʻe One" by Uncle Eddie Kamae's CD. Yes! I feel it's good for banjo playing. Mahalo nui.
