No. Most facilities have outlawed dual paddles, but even more so, we don’t see top fuel in sand anymore.

I remember when Carey Mahoney came to Newtown Dragway. I had parked close to his hauler and I was running in the street class. Between rounds I would work the starter for him when we was pulled to the starting line. His 1st pass had a big mph number but the car carried the front end really high due to his wheelie bars being set high from the different track condition he had ran in Michigan. He cranked the bars down for the track conditions and between that and the moisture leaving the track he never got close to that number again. At that time those passes were way faster than anything we had seen back then.

i've been to gilbert 5 or 6 times, i do appreciate the work and effort put into the racing. but one thing i think needs improvement is the announcing , we don't get much information, riders names, classes etc..., what we do hear is very limited. i think more people would come and enjoy watching if they knew what was going on. but i'm not complaining, just an observation. love the podcast...

Definitely something we agree on. Getting good announcers is hard. Especially for large events. There’s only so much you can put on an announcer card, so a lot of it comes down to how well the announcer knows the bikes and riders in that case.

Tri County Race: Little girl in the pink jeep in peewee’s was Reese Kepple which is Kevin Kepple’s daughter. Kevin Kepple ran a PR of 4.400 in the semi finals of the bracket race. Causing him to change his dial in for the finals and unfortunately then the car went back to running the times it had been all evening. Allen Furey is a first time sand drag racer and was running Kevin Kepple’s Bronco. 2nd place Jr/Jr Lucy Campbell & 3rd place Jr/Sr Thomas Cravener are my kids. Casey Campbell. Katelyn King is my little sister. She did beat me in the semi finals at a fair style race this year putting me with 3rd and she lost in the finals and took 2nd. After the race my dad asked if I let her win and my instant reply was F No! She just tree’d me 🤷🏻♂️
