I feel like on this movie the alien acts and walks more as a human and on the rest of the movies it feels more like an animal

A Praetorian would've solo'd the whole space ship with ease

Couple things I liked, and couple things I'm glad they kept from showing. Was that wheezing sound when it entered its breathing? If so that would've been a creepy way to let the audience or the next potential victim know that Big Chap was there (Possibly could've ruined the suspense tho). What was the deal with the crab walk entrance?!? Was that how it was originally supposed to move? Or was that just a way the actor could move around without damaging the big cumbersome head piece?! If it originally moved like that BOOOO that would've stunk!

I always wondered why Parker had blood in his mouth when he's wrestling with the alien. The scene before where he gets thrown against the wall would explain this.

The crab walk as goofy as hell, thank god it was cut lol.

There is a good reason why they cut a lot out of these scenes. The uncut version looks like a man in a constume. Is is almost not scary compared to the final cut version.

I've seen clips of that crab walk before but I thought it was just a blooper of the actor goofing around 😂 I didn't know it was actually intended for it to be serious lol

This turns it fr horror to comedy.

I'm so glad this was cut from the movie, although the off-screen deaths were slightly disappointing the alien effects look so goofy in this scene that I think the horror would have been somewhat ruined.

Final screams are similar to distress call/warning from Lv-426.

I don’t love the shadow of the alien entering the room either. It looks kinda goofy, like it’s playing a joke. If they just cut to it sitting there, that would be better. Even the extended tail, but the crab walk had to go. It is nice to see the alien rise because that’s the only time we really see the size juxtaposed to a human. Also the image of it crushing Parker’s head was pretty wicked too. There was a lot of good in there, but a lot of goofy as well. Unfortunately they left some of the goofy in the theatrical cut.

I can see why they cut it, but in a weird way, the way it approaches and studies Lambert reminds me of a child playing absentmindedly and trying to understand an animal it hasn't seen before. Kind of makes it even creepier

This scene should be in the time where Ripley was just "looking" for the cat before the explosion countdown. I always felt so ??? where the other 2 tripulants are getting oxygen while Ripley was doing "nothing". Imagine the scene of alien killing the other 2 while Ripley is discovering this dark and creepy form of reproduction of the Alien. The sense of urgency in the final part of the film will still there and probaly potentialize with this extra scene.

What an ALIEN enthusiast like me notices is how the close ups of Carlo Rambaldi’s alien head is constructed, lit and operated in such a chillingly effective way to portray it’s organic bio-mechanical aspects. It’s stunning. It’s like an alien cobra when strikes in the original! The way they used condoms as those face tendons, copious amount of water and KY jelly, and with superb lighting by Derek Vanlint and Ridley Scott, makes it really escape looking like rubber skin or fake. No other alien film after gave the kills the unique grace, power and sheer horror Ridley Scott was able to convey! BRAVO!

The most horrific scene in this movie !!! Absolutely terrifying !!! And just the way that Lambert had died left me cold inside !!! And Parker being the warrior that he is tried his best at saving her up until he was slaughtered !!!

Ok…this just dawned on me as I knew I saw it elsewhere. When the alien is sitting and watching Lambert it reminds me of the way Fifefield (sp?) is sitting outside the ship. Legs all bent around a shit. He even stands the same way? Maybe Ridley always regretted not having the scene in Alien and opted to use it, in a sense, in Prometheus?

Ahhh...I understand why they cut this scene. It shows too much of the Alien. Plus that "Crab-walk" the Alien does seems far too human-like to me...

I like when the alien is just doing weird shit like kneeling down in this scene or crab walking at Lambert. Adds to the mystery and creepiness. That's one aspect the aliens from the newer movies are missing. They act too predictable now.

Hm not super in love with the crabwalk but I really love that it just sits there watching and doing nothing. Just taking its sweet time. Honestly way scarier to me than a Xenomorph going 'RAWRARWARAR!' and jumping around like they're on cocaine.

At least the cat survived.

Holy crap, that looks soooo shitty and stupid, thank god they removed these Alien moving Scenes. Of course it was 1978, i know, but this looks so stupid how it checks if Parker is ok after the throw :D
