I like the look of the Canarm fan. It looks like a 16" Windmere stand fan but it shrunk.

The spots that were hard to get off, you can just scrub it with a wet sponge and dip in some watery dish soap. It worked for me

How did you remove the screws on the back, mid-way down the length of the fan? They look to be torx, possibly hex. I've tried both but haven't had any luck.

I was lucked out to have Philips screws, having a screwdriver for Torx or hex screws would help.

i didn't know 1980s pedestal uses the SMC 16" fan blades, maybe those the pre (or prototype) SMC rounded blades that now used between 90s and 2000s
@SMCfanman
@SMCfanman 9 күн бұрын
If you look at 60s/70s Hitachi fans they had the rounded blades as well,so round blades was not designed by SMC btw,but SMC is my favourite brand nowadays simply because of the looks and motor is very easy to take apart and service

looks like a micromark modeled fan (micromark and pifco uses that shaped control box) also should not be a prob with the missing feet because really, it's useless (i remove them myself)

I had some memories of seeing their desk fans at Walmart and various places when I was little, they made a mesh grill desk fan with buttons on the base windmere like without a ring holding the grilles.
