I just came here from a video about Valley Girl and hadn't realized that not 1, not 2, but 3 of the actresses that were in Valley Girl were also in this film. Although Deborah Forman was probably a bigger name actress, Michelle's role and performance in this movie definitely outshine's Deborah's. However, with the role Deborah was given you could see how she couldn't really do a lot with it.

This is such a great & nuanced movie. You really feel for Hedy even through her more psychotic moments, and it's sad how someone with an initially cute style & crafty hobbies all gets erased once she feels the need to copy Allie. Also one of the only movies I can think of (especially in the 90s) that treated a gay character like a regular human being.

It's a combination of AI enhancement (Topaz), careful color grading (Davinci Resolve), audio enhancement (FabFilter), and a lot of patience working one scene at a time for many days (sometimes a frame at a time). i.e., this is several days worth of work. I'm glad you noticed! :)

@@mostlynerdygirls Well somebody is a Penny fan to do all that work! Fun fact: the "space suits" the Robinson family wore were so form fitting they required body casts to be made to create them. Meaning that somewhere, someplace out there might still exist a forgotten warehoused body mold of 15 year old Lacey Chabert just waiting to be rediscovered! 😂

I have watched Ghostbusters Afterlife several times now and I grew up watching the original two Ghostbusters films and watching this wonderful video a random thought popped into my head: Egon knew about his daughter Callie and he was like keeping an eye on her from afar and he had all those photographs in his laboratory (they actually are of Callie actress Carrie Coon by the way). Well I was wondering if Egon knew about Callie then did he know about his grandchildren Trevor and Phoebe? It would explain why he had that puzzle in his living room floorboards knowing that Phoebe being inquisitive and curious would spot it, solve it and find the ghost trap underneath. It's never made clear in the film. I love the bit at the end when Egon puts in a proper ghostly appearance to help his granddaughter Phoebe. This is a brilliant video.
