Very hard to find in any format. Was fortunate to find it in vinyl a few years ago flipping through a new and used record store. Gave it to my bro. A special album to him as well.

Totally underrated, this band; the background music of my youth in the 70s and 80s! Love you Nick! 💓

Dave Edmunds’ version is my favorite. Love that wall of sound/bobby fuller four guitar twang and of course Dave’s voice is just awesome. Elvis Costello is undeniably a master songwriter and lyricist.

Saw them at Cobo Arena in Detroit. I believe around 1986. I think that was their last performance.

Note for note perfect. This song came out in 1991 right before I moved to Houston, Texas. Two other songs came out then: “Ghost Of A Chance” by Rush, and “She Moves In Mysterious Ways” by U2.

Echoes of those beautiful sunlit days in the summer of 1983 still ring loud in my soul listening to this classic

Great song. I know Elvis wrote it, but let's be honest, Dave Edmunds performed it better.

Still have this album in my collection recorded it a cassette tape and played it to death in 79/80. Brings back memories of California and being a teenager then.

Yeah they were cool in the eighties but I was never a huge fan, it's all about the songwriting and they only had a handful of good songs that you can remember

Dale is still to this day 100% chillin and the same lady she always was. Didn’t give two shits about fame and money.. she liked having fun with her band. She coulda sold out hard. But she didn’t care about that stuff. That’s as fascinating as her music.

Dale was so beautiful as a young woman. Those days are long gone now. Time is a mfer

Incredible unabashed talent. I caught an earshot of what my teenage kids are listening to and thought of this song immediately. Because the crap that’s hot now is NOWHERE NEAR to this “music”. Singing through a vocal machine with computerized instruments is not talent.
