Bought a Maverick today. Need a 54" to get into the shed. The dealer told me they had a 60" i can check out but their other office upstate has the 54", so invited me to come check out the 60". When i got there, he was telling me about the dual tanks, efi (didnt term it thst way, but i asked about yhr choke and he just said this model didn't have it). I also mentioned seat and the one I'd be getting won't have that seat and said it would. I like the guy, very nice, and this is a large multi location Bad Boy of America dealer, but it seemed i already knew more about the Maverick than he does, so that concerned me. Still, very excited to get the mower, my first zero turn...

I say why can’t you compare a Kioto tractor in Australia between a Ck3010 and a CK 4010 .All you get are American models that you can’t buy here so one looks at alternative tractors

You said the HD has dual fuel tank. I HAVE an HD and it only has a single fuel tank. I have a major gripe with my HD, a 2023 model with 54 " deck. New blades and it leaves a strip of uncut grass between the right blade and center and left blade and center blade. There is no adjustment. New blades of correct size right from the factory. Its a good machine but the uncut strips of grass is totally not acceptable. Bad Boy fails to address any phone or emails regarding this issue. SO, guess what, I am back to using my John Deere GX335 Garden tractor with 54" Deck or my JohnmDeere 1025R compact tractor with 54" deck. I cut 6 acres, and do not feel like having to cut it twice just to cut those two strips it leaves. I say its all because of blade placement on deck does not allow for any overlap to eliminate those uncut areas. So in over a year of owning this high $$$$ machine, It only has 12 hours on it. I should have kept my John Deere ZTR as it did not leave these uncut strips. I thought about adding some weld to the ends of the blades to lengthen them, but I should not have to jurymrig such on a brand new machine. I am totally disapointed with my Bad Boy, so itnsits unused. Unless I get some answers from Bad Boy, its going to be put out in front of my place with a for sale signband have JUNK on the forsale sign, and lack of Factory help. There really is no factory or dealer support. All Bad Boys are sold at Tractor Supply and other such stores, which do not have any tech support. I just seem to see that the end of April, this Bad Boy is going to get sold or traded on another John Deere or a Toro. Thanks for any help.

bad boy uses residential belts for all of their mowers. I wish I would have checked this before buying. I have a Kubota that uses a huge drive and deck belt. also the kawasaki motor sucks

I just bought a Maverick. Thank you for the comparison, interesting that you said there was a difference in the spindles. When I was researching Bad Boy mowers for my home use. I came across another youtuber who asked a service technician if he had seen any problems with the Maverick. He said the only problem over time was he had to replace the spindles. He said the spindles can weaken over time if you hose them off with cold water when they are hot. So, I will be cleaning mine with a blower or wait till the mower has cooled down before hosing it off.

I just don't get the rebel. So the elite offers front rubber bushings. Step up to the maverick and get rear bushings as well. Next is the maverick hd that gets you a full suspension seat as well as the bushings. But the if you step up to the maverick you have just the seat and a rigid frame. Why? Why would this upgrade lose the things that mkae ride quality possible. Now i know the rebel is the cheapest mower that steps up to the larger platform. And has all the stats of a full commercial mower. Is that the point? A cheap commercial option? Because as someone who is looking at buying a bad boy in the next month, i just can't bring myself to understand why i should consider it. The Maverick HD and rouge are the ones i am kind of trying to decide between but i have found two dealers trying to get rid of rebels at a price only a few hundred dollars above the maverick HD. Hope someone can explain this to me.
@stephenhodge64416 ай бұрын
I'm very confused about the lack of suspension with the rebel. The elite has front bushings. The Maverick and Maverick HD have front and rear bushings. Those are all cheaper mowers. Then the rebel has nothing but a seat??? Help me understand. Is this just a way to make a cheaper commercial option when it comes to the bigger bad boy mowers? I was considering buying the rebel but this lack of suspension has me thinking more about going down to the maverick HD. Love your videos by the way.

I was wondering this a few days ago, I have CK3510 gear with rubber floor mat.......
@job38four1011 ай бұрын
I dont like the hydro whine. One thing I like best about Kioti CK3510 gear tractor is, shifter location verses Kubota, and with Kioti gear tractor, the reverse gear speed is same as forward 2nd gear speed and slower than 3rd gear forward speed, vs Kubota reverse speed in low range, 3rd and 4th reverse gear is way faster than 3rd and 4th in forward gear, I hate that. If anything I want to go slower in reverse. The real cons are, Kubota FEL mounts are stronger built than Kioti, the loaders stay up a LOT longer than Kioti, and loader controls work smoother on Kubota. So bottom line is, no such thing as perfect tractor. One thing I dont understand is, why the hades are ALL tractors so loud, I want a QUIET tractor.........

Slow speed slow idle can damage hydro, right? Something geared tractors don't care about.
@bhmfarmandlawnequipment16411 ай бұрын
I would not fully agree with that. Hydro transmissions do prefer not to be run at idle, but hydros are excellent for slow speed work. If you are constantly riding the clutch to work at slow speed you will decrease clutch life.

Gear tractors push much more and don’t have that annoying hydro wine. A gear drive with sync shuttle is the setup I prefer however someone new to tractors I understand the Hydro may be preferred plus it is probably a better choice with multiple users as it is pretty much fool proof and easy to explain. I just like the direct feel of a manual
@Monkey_Snot Жыл бұрын
I agree, as someone that grew up with manual transmissions on the farm I prefer it to HST, I'm used to using a loader with a manual. The cons on HST with a loader is you lose pushing power considerably when trying to push into a pile of whatever (gravel, topsoil) while trying to lift the loader with a full bucket, as you don't when using a manual transmission.
