When I lived in Carlsbad California we had hot days and cold nights many times out of the year and cold enough to make you dress warm but it’s much better weather than Florida has where it’s hell on earth for 7 months and spring/fall like weather for 5 but with hurricanes for 3/5 months of nice weather so it really sucks most of the year in Florida and I was raised in north shore Massachusetts near Salem and we got 1-2 months of summer and 10 -11 months of bone chilling cold if we got lucky we’d get 3 months of summer almost but it’s not unusual for it to be 49 degrees at night in July up there . 😅

Tree size poinsettia in the lunchroom at Wallace Thompson Hospital in Union SC. It was in a giant pot with a shaded plate glass window. Blew my mind. My favorite color of the new varieties is the pink and cream. Just gorgeous.
@iluvchubblesАй бұрын
The first time I seen a poinsettia tree in Mexico it blew my mind, they can have the flowers basically all year round. They’re called Noche Buenas, like “Christmas eve flower” or in Nahuatl language Cuetlaxóchitl Also one of the ways to produce so many varieties colors and patterns of this flower is actually exposing them to radiation to alter the genes. So crazy hahaha

Good advice for the tree suitable to be replanted outside during remaining winter months. just be sure to wear long gloves when handling the root ball of the tree as you can end up with a poison ivy rash if you dig it up from a farm, but otherwise a great choice for Christmas tree.

You two are a lot of fun! Just stumbled across this video in my feed. Since you are in Arizona and I’m in central Ohio, it would be helpful if you could mention the zone or cold tolerance of each plant. I love evergreens, but am assuming some of the ones you are recommending might not be good for central Ohio.

Love the video All the examples he gave of how to use pruning sealer are great it will be advised though on larger wounds of trees pruning sealer is not generally necessary. it can often trap moisture leading to more decay fungus and less compartmentalization
