The ropes and ring up front of the boat was there an exact measurement for this ? The ropes on each corner of the stern how did you work out that measurement, did you stand the tinny on its stern then to top of your rack ? It' really works good and inexpensive, cheers Shane

I bought a 2 wt rod yesterday for euro nymphing and the retailer said it’s works well as a dry fly rod as well. He put a 5 wt line on it and we went outside for a cast and I’m telling you it’s the best loading most accurate rod I’ve ever cast, I was stunned.

Best explanation of what should be happening in any forward cast I’ve ever seen on the Internet. I now call the roll cast the triangle cast. great job.

Just getting into my saltwater fly fishing for bass (uk) and learned more in 10mins watching this, then anything I was trying to do on my own 😳😱😂😂 thank you for posting, as saltwater fly fishing over here in the uk especially down here on the southeast cost is very unusual. No one to teach you/give advice 🤓🤓. Thanks again 😍😍😎😎🇬🇧🇬🇧

This is the first demonstration I have seen on KZbin that isn't just a guy doing a roll cast and saying "see, that's how you do a roll cast". Thank you for making this an intuitive experience. I've always had too much line in the water and not applying power in the right spot. This video solved years of frustration thinkin maybe I was just an idiot.

I Learned the double haul once from your shadow boxing years back , great way to practice the moves without rod and line, manage 100-120 feet with a #7 9 feet rod while I do my coastal fly fishing here in Sweden, might take up distance casting one day just for fun,, thanks for your video films, much appreciated 🎣🎣👍

I thought you need to be able to pull from the sides to keep the boat stable with during the llift. I have not tried pulling directly from the bow. It worked for me so if it aint broke I did not try and fix it. Best of luck

That's pretty cool - might have to look at something similar for my camper trailer!!! Out of interest, why did you need the eyebolts.....wouldn't it have worked if you had just connected the winch rope to the front of the boat only and left out the 2 x eyebolts?? Interested to know if you have tried loading it without using the eyebolts?

@johnwaters8029
@johnwaters8029 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks James, wrist movement is an essential to efficient casting. Casting is no different to any other throwing sport, all of which use wrist turnover movement as the final segment of the action. Using a casting technique that does not use the wrist greatly limits your effectiveness in all conditions.
