Idk what kind of romani shib we speak but my family came to the USA from france about 120 years ago and we call our i call myself a “fronsuzo” i think we are manush??? I think thats how you spell it??? Anyways, we say “scafedee” for table, and “zado” for sugar. For day we say “jes” and for hospital we say boolingsa.. I’m sorry for all the typos 😂

Hello my brother and sister, I am a Roma man born in Mexico. My ancestors came here fleeing the persecutions that occurred against our people in past centuries in Spain. And speaking about flamenco music I can tell you that in my case I am a guitarist, and I am capable of playing the different styles of flamenco without having ever attended a flamenco music school. My great-great-grandparents and grandparents were all musicians, none of them ever attended any music school, so I think it's just genetics passing from generation to generation in the family. Well, I just wanted to say hello and participate in your podcast that I have just discovered and I loved it. Are you on any social network where I can follow you?

Chaplin was romanichal . We are not roma . Roma is not a word in our dialect . Only ROM (man) and ROMNI (woman) and together they are ROMANY . Reason being we broke away from you before the word roma came about . Since the turn of the previous century with the world wars Roma have arrived on the British isles yes but the original gypsies did not call them selfs roma . They might think they are roma now because that is what they are being told they are but it is incorrect. You a re writing history .
