Thanks for the video, Is there a way to export the lines with the correct elevations? Or would I have to do that manually on my other program? such as Rhino/Revit.
@pointsnorthgisuav866110 ай бұрын
Hi. If the source file you are exporting has geometry that contains elevations (z-values) the shapefile will also include them. If they do not you can use a different tool to calculate them from an elevation raster or field in the layer that has an elevation value. You can also set a default z-value in the "Environments" tab of the export tool.

If you have hard top bed cover, make sure you have way to open it without opening tailgate. when controller goes into bimbo, there is no way to open tailgate with hard top over bed. I don't know if the mirrors are a direct replacement, it came from the factory that way. This truck has the 502a package (i.e. 360 camera, power folding/heated mirrors and blind spot monitoring) and that all carried over to the towing mirrors.

Did you have engine block heater plugged in ? Did you do same test without plugging in what are the results for both?
@pointsnorthgisuav86612 жыл бұрын
The block heater was plugged in. It makes the start easier but wouldn’t significantly impact the time it takes to warm up and switch to electric.
@pointsnorthgisuav86612 жыл бұрын
It would be nice to do more testing though. Just so many variables at play with variable outside temps, letting the truck completely cool down.

How often does it stay in electric mode given a stretch of road, I’m figuring to pay a premium for a hybrid it has to be electric mode for half the JOURNEY
@pointsnorthgisuav86612 жыл бұрын
It depends on how you drive. For me, I drive mostly highway and get 10-15% of the distance as electric. The fuel savings will not outweigh the additional cost of the hybrid, but there are other aspects of it that make it worth it (I.e. 7 Kw generator, less engine idle time, less break wear).

I can’t tell is it 600 or 800 km to empty? My question is what is average range in winter on full tank? And average range now on a full tank? Thanks in advance Test driving a Lariat Monday morning
@pointsnorthgisuav86612 жыл бұрын
The truck range on a full tank would show around 800 to 850 kms which has mostly been cold weather/winter driving. It is an optimistic estimate on the trucks part. I just put the summer tires on but it will take a bit for the estimated range to adjust. My average fuel economy has been improving as the temps increase. Moved from 13.8 l/100 km down to 12.8 l/100 km for the type of driving I do.

@pointsnorthgisuav86612 жыл бұрын
No. The battery is located under the truck bed floor between the frame rails. Unlike the Toyota Tundra Hybrid, the F-150 sPowerBoost still has all the rear under-seat storage, aside from the passenger side where there is a small auxiliary battery.

I (almost) never make a layer the only selectable layer. I just rightclick a layer > Select > Select All (or Select Visible Features) > Copy > Paste Special > choose the target layer in the dropdown at the Paste Special window > OK > Save. If the Paste Special is not active while I know that I'm trying to copy one or more features from a source layer to a target layer where source and target are of the same featuretype (both point or line or polygon), I expect it to be some kind of a bug, as if ArcGIS lost track on something (or busy with some unexpected and unknown process(es)). In those cases I offen get the Paste Special correct working again just by closing the Map and (from the Catalog pane) reopening it.

Thanks for another cold environment, real world environment video. Could you comment on the climate control settings and how they perform in the auto setting. Does the auto setting also include adjustments to the seat temperature settings?
@pointsnorthgisuav86612 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! There is an auto setting for the command start that moderately heats up the interior, the steering wheel and the seats. It is enough to make it comfortable but certainly not as warm as the auto settings get once driving. When driving the auto settings are independent for the climate control, steering wheel and seats. The auto climate control works pretty good but isn’t great for defrosting or defogging.

Great video. Your explanation of the drive modes in winter conditions helps greatly. In 4A is there a way to stop the air dam from lowering?
@pointsnorthgisuav86612 жыл бұрын
I think the only way to keep the air dam from deploying is to switch into deep snow/sand mode, but that is a mode I would not want to drive down the highway in. It is hard to know though. The dam activated once you are over 40mph and is difficult to tell when it is actually active. Hopefully this summer I can rig up a camera and do some tests. There are definitely some situations where you wouldn’t want it down at highway speeds
@MrFordguy732 жыл бұрын
One area I would not want it deploying is if I'm driving and I see a roadkill raccoon, skunk Etc in my old truck I just straddle it, now looks like I'll be pushing it down the road like a snow plow
