Hi Michelle. I have a question. I’d love for you to do a video on. I’ve noticed quite a number of people that did luxury picnic businesses, no longer do them. I thoroughly enjoy the content regarding the business. But obviously somebody isn’t being completely candid about the journey. Can you do a video that talks about what the cons of the business were? Difficulties managing the inventory? Or client and customer issues? Like I know you have your own specific motivations for why you got out of it. But if you had to do it again. What were the parts of it that you really struggled with and did not enjoy? I’d love to hear about that piece.

Thanks for your video! I had the opposite thing happen. I always had loose waves and after heavy, long haul covid, I lost about 50% of my hair, and when it started growing back a few months later, it was tight curls! It lasted about 2 years. Fortunately my hair has all filled back in but it's fallen back to wavy. I miss the ringlets!

Lmao the first 3 mins describes my experience to the T. I stopped around February. I started during pandemic and I did event rentals; photobooths, throne chairs, marquee numbers etc. Tons of business, but as you said you lose your weekends and you can only scale so far without help. Reliable consistent help is hard to come by. Some people only wanna work when they feel like it lol. I'm just not passionate enough for this business to continue. I appreciate the experience of running a business and I've become very adept at online marketing on different platforms so I just look at it as a stepping stone. Before getting into event rentals I actually considered staging for homes i.e. renting the furniture out to realtors but I didn't want to keep tons of inventory of furniture so I settled on event rentals. Glad you found a good compromise for your life. Sorry to hear about the fire. If you happen to consider event rentals again I would say only do marquee numbers and letters. They're novel, don't require a lot of maintenance like throne chairs or technical know how like photo booths AND they can fit into SUVs, so customers can pick up and drop off unlike most throne chairs the loveseats in particular. Congrats on your marriage.

The event business definitely isn’t for the weak 😢. When I had to keep sacrificing my weekends with my family, it really started to take a toll on me. With my new business, I no longer work weekends unless I choose to which I don’t 😂 and I now enjoy a more stable work-life balance, which I love. I’m so sorry to hear you’re not in the business anymore, but I’m sure you’ve gained plenty of golden nuggets to help you excel in any field. If you don’t want to deal with the inventory side of staging, there are stagers who only offer consultations and a DIY option. You might want to look into that it’s a good, cost effective, and lucrative way to run the business 💕.

Wow this is right on time. I have a luxury picnic business but have decided to rent instead of setting up picnics. I'm with you on the heat! But my passion is interior design and I do want to learn how you transitioned because that is exactly what I want to do. Great seeing you again.

The heat ain’t no joke 🥲. I’ll be sure to post a video soon of how I got into staging 💕

LOVE ❤ this! The dry erase board is GENIUS! Diggin the dance moves, happy kids, and you’re just so cute and fun! I actually enjoy listening to it. You have a natural conversational voice, no hint of a You Tube drone. You’ve actually got me excited to make this.
