Hm, remarkable Fredrik.. The precision of these harmonies is not unlike a well-orchestrated witch hunt-each voice serving its purpose, no room for error. Even in song, the purity of order is evident. A most pleasing sound, free from heretical dissonance. I suppose not all forms of music are a waste of breath... though I remain ever suspicious.

A beautiful masterpiece! Reminds me of old songs from Sweden: kulning. The soprano performs it very well.

I samma stund lyser solen in genom kyrkfönstret.

The greatest music allows the listener to go into a different world - even with a familiar text. It is as if in this powerful work we know the devastated hearts of Mary - who stayed with the horror she was forced to witness, and also the disciples who couldn't bear the sight and fled. What an achievement! Congratulations!

A fine performance. Kudos to the choir members and both the choir director and whoever supervised the recording. It was also good to see the SATB score while hearing the music. (Rah!)

A magnificent composition with mysterious, fascinating modern harmonies and a remarkable performance by the singers, supported by a well-balanced orchestration that contributes to the work's mystical atmosphere. The scrolling of the score is an added bonus for a perfect understanding of the work. My compliments for your musical master piece.

Thanks a lot for this piece of music - beautiful and moving with a bright atmosphere, and a sophisticated musical language that I can recognise from your (also brilliant!) St John's Passion. Love it!

What an ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE! The soloists are exceptional, the orchestral writing exquisite, and the performance is thrilling. One of the most evocative and powerful new masterworks, and a consummate addition to the Stabat Mater catalog. Your harmonic language is gripping and inventive, and I cannot express enough the deep connection to the text throughout. Bravo Fredrik. And thank you for your continued excellence and artistry. ❤

Thanks for sharing! I really liked it a lot. Those who think romantic, expressive yet direct music is dead are completely lost in a world of ideas; I think that is the problem of over-philosophizing some things like music. However, experimentation with sound is good. I think that music is becoming a science, if it has not always being one. Nonetheless, like in any science, there are those who dedicate to theory (which could be those composing avant-garde pieces) and those who vow themselves to apply it (those who apply sound experiments into "user-friendly" works). Thanks for putting this into my channel and thanks for watching my cultural diffusion space!
