Hello my dear professor @ How to treat alkaline and salty soil other than agricultural gypsum because agricultural gypsum did not help us but rather harmed us. We in the Middle East region have salty and alkaline soil. I have salinity in the soil and the plants have started to die. Every time I plant, it seems that after two weeks they become weak and dry from the top and die. Please respond quickly. Thank you, my dear.

I would beg to differ and say there are too many University and extension people who still live in the world of crop removal rates, don't understand the value of proper nutrient management and some of the new tests that are out there and the potential power of foliar feeding I quote unquote mind a field of phosphorus for 9 years and the phosphorus level stayed the exact same. I brought in cover crops and some regenerative practices Period Most conventional Agronomist Around here Couldn't Explain how that was possible

It seems that you have also misinterpreted Liebig's intention. He was actually referring to trace minerals and micronutrients when expressing yield is relative to the most limiting nutrient.

I'm 65 and haven't farmed since 1990. In north Mississippi, all farmers used to band with the planter till the early 70s. Some yahoos got to everybody to broadcast because it was faster and they claimed the yeald would be the same or better. At that time dad and I would chisel to incorporate until the early 90s when conservation tillage and eventually no till came into being. I went into another career and dad and my younger brother kept going. Dad has passed andy brother went full controlled traffic no till. He's been very successful, but I've always encouraged him to find a way to place fertilizer into the soil ( band) ,but to no avail. I just now ran across your channel,and sent him a link. I hope it has some influence so he can increase his already good yeilds.

Wonderful! Dr. Mullen is the only one I've found so far that uses dimensional analysis to make fertilizer calculations.

It was very educative. Congrats. It may be worth while to give ready reckoner giving price per unit of nutrient in different grades of solid fertiliser materials available in the market. Of course, one will have to make all calculations for preparing blends and liquid fertilisers.
