I really don’t understand the calculations part even if I did the measurements :/ Very unhappy with this pattern purchase, I purchased because it sounded like in this video you go over how to make it in larger sizes but it makes things way more difficult when you’re trying to make these as gifts as you need like 5+ measurements and it’s mentioning to divide by literal 3.14

Hi!! if you email me i can help you better! for most head sizes you can use the measurements in this video. dividing by 3.14 is because of PI (maths + circles, works well for human head shape but i can explain it better via email and guide you on a larger sizes :) )

my other balaclava pattern works with any type/size of yarn (the bear balaclava written pattern)

do you maybe have tips for using the pattern with a thinner yarn (light/light worsted)? I'd love to make one myself but don't have the yarn :)

if you have the written pattern you can use it with any yarn you have! you will need to do more/less increase rounds to bring it to the radius measurement depending on the yarn you have, feel free to email me and i can point it out exactly on the pattern there :)

i just bought the pattern, it works pretty well so far but i have a few problems at finding the center of the head for measuring beta and gamma

I bought your pattern, but I think that the pattern should say true gamma=gamma+5 cm, instead of -5cm?

its minus 5cm to account for the length that occurs with the eye gap space, if you add 5cm then the gamma section will be too long when you put it on, hope that makes sense 💗

you can chain 3, slip stitch into first chain and then you have a circle you can add the 12hdc! if you search "alternative to magic circle crochet" there will be loads of tutorials for it!

This isn't a beginner tutorial go watch a video that teaches you everything you need to know first or start some easier projects so you can learn some of the stitches and basic terminology like she suggested
