FOR THE SWITCH CODE OE code 93840-1G000 Is it the good OEM reference for a Kia sportage ? Because in Kiaparts tey says that is a code for the switch for kia rio For the sportage i think the lower code for the switch is KIA 93840 2E 000

I'm from Paris Hy i have a problem to start my kia sportage 1.6 GDI 2011 ( First problem after 10 years and 4 months not bad ;-) ) My Sportage don't start I brought my vehicle to kia and they tell me that the problem comes from this switch after having made a diagnosis when my sportage did not want to start I suspected that it was about this contactor So to check I made a bypass to see if it came from the clutch switch or no But in fact I realize that there are 2 contactors one at the top and the other at the bottom that's why my bypass method did not work Now if the problem comes from there I think it is better to change the 2 contactors because they are the same age so if we change only one the other can break down after On the other hand I do not know if my kia dealer has to order the 2 contactors or just one , I must contact them on Monday to ask them about this Thank you very mutch for your video PS : what is this diag device that you use?

What he is saying is that it is an E46 chassis but a diesel engine. EGR valves were only on the diesel and would have been non-misleading or at least more accurate had the OP mentioned this in the title.

Just tried to clean mine, achieved only 70% of the job after using 1 can of EGR cleaner and 2 cans of brake cleaner. Got most of the gunk and chunk of carbon deposits out, but I'm gonna go at it again sometime soon until it's as clean as yours! Gonna try a different product and if that doesn't work, gonna dump the sucker into some gasoline for 12 hrs or so :) Ok, that felt good. Now I can move on with my life.

May i know, what problems it can cause having a dirty EGR or a completely defective EGR?
@nextcar15497 жыл бұрын
The EGR function is to recirculate the exhaust gases so in time soot builds on the valve and may cause to block the valve and not to function properly

@noobsaibot18903 жыл бұрын
@@sabinislami8884 mine was showing it like out of 10 pedal to the metal, 8 were sticking me to the driver's seat, but 2 were like the exhaust was farting all the power out through it. Like i lost the boost somewhere, and im doing 3500 rpm... When i cleaned the egr it was gone. My friend got a completely clogged egr with this black shit, and his egr was stuck open. The hot fumes made a hole in his egr cooler... He had to change it. 250$ cost for nothing, because he was lazy to clean egr every 2 years. Also it can burn the intake manifold, which is around 400$.....so....better clean it

perfect! thank you! I'm feeling hesitation on my car especially on road climb, i suspect EGR and MAF may be the culprit, should there be any sorts of errors on this regard? Cuz mine doesn't have any
@rosnol4379 жыл бұрын
dosquest Even if there is no error regarding the EGR valve it should be checked periodically, because carbon deposits build up continuously which will affect engine performance. You should take off the hose that comes from the intercooler and connects to the EGR and check for deposits.
@dosquest9 жыл бұрын
Cool! Thanks once more, may I ask you how often this should be done?
