There is so much hopelessness in this world. We've only to turn on our evening news to see it. But just once in a while, either through a poem or, in this case, through this poignant song somebody strikes a chord and amplifies the abject sadness so prevalent in society today. If you are a thinking and feeling human being this song will stop you dead in your tracks and make you think about those less fortunate souls. If I could say anything to Mr Mellencamp I would tell him that his masterpiece always makes me cry and makes me express gratitude to our creator for everything Ive been blessed with. Amen and Amen Mr Mellencamp. Well done.

🎵 **Feeling Inspired by “Simple Song of Freedom” - Bobby Darin** 🌟🕊 I’ve been listening to **“Simple Song of Freedom”** by Bobby Darin, and it’s truly resonated with me in a profound way. This timeless song, with its heartfelt message and stirring melody, serves as a powerful reminder of the universal yearning for peace and freedom. 🎶💫 Bobby Darin’s soulful rendition of this song captures the essence of a dream for a world where freedom and justice are accessible to all. The lyrics, with their simple yet profound call for liberation and harmony, echo a deep and enduring desire for a world where everyone can live in peace and dignity. 🌍💖 The beauty of “Simple Song of Freedom” lies in its straightforward yet powerful message. It speaks to the core of our shared humanity and the basic right to live free from oppression and fear. It’s a reminder that at the heart of every struggle for freedom is a fundamental hope for a better, more just world. 🌈✊ Listening to this song brings a sense of hope and inspiration, reminding me that the pursuit of freedom and peace is a universal journey that we’re all a part of. It encourages us to stay hopeful and continue working towards a world where everyone can experience true freedom and equality. 🌟💪 If this song touches you as deeply as it does me, or if there’s another piece of music that inspires you to believe in a better world, I’d love to hear about it. Let’s share the songs and messages that uplift us and fuel our commitment to creating a more peaceful and just world. 🎤💬 #BobbyDarin #SimpleSongOfFreedom #MusicThatInspires #PeaceAndFreedom #UniversalHope #PositiveChange #TimelessMessages

(sic) "taken way to soon from this world". Sad, as with many other people along history, really sad. For me this is one of the best country music songs I have ever listened. Wonderful.

Stricken with a weakened rheumatic heart since childhood and not expected to live to reach age 15 this guy knew he had to pack four lifetimes into his limited existence and that's exactly what he did, what an extraordinary talented individual !

O'Jays and so much great war protest music in the era. That's why this nice song remained obscure. It's no competition for songs like Money Money Money, Temptations Ball of Confusion, Edwin Starr War, Sabbath War Pigs, Pink Floyd Pigs ... Etc etc. Woodstock inspired the Vegas circuit to abandon serial pedo Francis SINatra's tired songs about his fragile ego in denial. Kudos to Bobby Darin for being better at the club venue than creepy Sinatra. But there was a really huge world of really important music happening outside of Vegas.

People don't realize today how brave an act this performance was... But back then to through up the peace sign ✌️ on national network television was in direct defiance of the establishment, government, international banks, and MIC. Just for that alone you could have been "blackballed", canceled by todays standards, having your career stopped dead cold!

So never went to rock concerts in the 60's & 70's when the rock music was freedom and the best music by far? Woodstock was peace signs and war protests nonstop. "We've Got To Get Ourselves Back To The Garden"? Steven Stills? Come on. Toss your Trump hat. Pay attention to what you missed. Get caught up.

Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never sung before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war Hey there, Mister Black Man can you hear me? I don't want your diamonds or your game I do want to be someone known to you as me And I will bet my life you want the same Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never sung before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war Seven hundred million are enlisted Most of what you read, most of what you read, is made of lies But speaking one to one, ain't it everybody's son To wake to in the morning when we rise? Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never sung, never sung, before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war No doubt some folks enjoy doin' battle Like presidents, prime ministers and kings So let's all build them shelves so they can fight among themselves And leave us be those who want to sing Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never, ever, sung before Let it fill the air Tell the people everywhere We, the people here, don't want a war Come and sing a simple song of freedom Sing it like you've never, ever, sung before Speaking one to one Ain't it everybody's son To wake to in the morning when we rise Speaking one to one Ain't it everybody's son To wake to in the morning when we rise .Songwriters: Bobby Darin.
