The bike shot was cool, but was underexposed. The video had a rich shadow of the bike that got blown out from underexposure. I also wish you would have stepped back a bit to include more of the bike's shadow. The motorcycle fender was a great shot!

I have used two microphones boya mm1 and boya mm1+ but boya mm1 doesn't make much noise but boya mm1+ makes a lot of noise and even the sound of the fan in the room comes down, why is this happening?

Quite a short sighted answer about the 550D as it’s all about taking video. It’s still a tremendous camera for taking photographs and these days it’s very budget friendly. It doesn’t have modern video features but I think most people will agree putting a decent lens on an SLR even of this age will take way better photos than any smartphone

i either use a phone or a eos 550d. the eos comes out better than the iphone 11 for what i need.

I took a lot air to air shoots when I was in the Navy. I like Vps and I rate it at asa100. It seams I took nice pictures of jets. It was flat color film then. Plus it was free for me. It was good for reenlistment and portraits The skin tone was nice and it didn't take a lot of color correction when I printed it.

Hey Ibrahim , did you use the MM1+ with an other cable on a windows pc ? (not laptop) I'am cant use it on a (case) windows pc with an other cable...it just work with the orginal cable what comes out the box . The orginal cabel is too short... 😠 But it works with all cable types on mac , iphone and android phones . Just not on case windows pc.

I've had a 550D for years, it has 213K clicks .............. go figure... Around 210K clicks, one of the shutter blades came loose, so I replaced it for only 14€ ... problem is, you have to unmount the sensor and getting it back exactly at the right location is a pain .. so now my body is slightly out of focus, unless I use live-view. I've been looking out for a replacement crop-frame body for years now and I still can't find a Canon Crop-Frame DSLR, that has enough improvement (pure picture quality, low light, ...) over a 550D and there just are NONE. Surely not within my (low) budget. All later models come with fantsy features, I don't need at all ... articulated screen, better video, whatever ... I don't care. They weigh more, they use more battery, ... I care for low light, high-iso, ... and the only step up from a 550D ... is going full-frame. So buying a "new" 550D body with low click-count .. is definitely something I didn't do in 2023 ... but I will in 2024.

HI. Did you ever get audio playback on your headphone? I have a Samson S20 connected to the BY-MM1 mic and in order to hear playback I have to unplug the mic after each recording. This is impractical and makes the microphone unusable. If you've figurured out a workaround or know a fix I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I have 2 twin lens camera and both take excellent quality photos. I find that they work best in the middle distances. Too close and you get parallax error. Too far and the subject is too tiny.

I used a 550D to shoot two documentaries and several short videos. It's no problem to set your focus and with the right lens (I used a "grey" Canon 70-200 much of the time), the pictures are really sharp. I've had professional videographers ask me how I got such sharp pictures. This is a great camera in the right hands so don't go knocking it. Some of the greatest photos ever taken were shot with cameras with no special features. Photography is about the eye of the person behind the viewfinder.

The difference is in the background/bokeh. That's what matters. The L lens has much smoother backgrounds. The nifty-fifty background is a bit rough. Shoot at f/8 and both lenses will be about the same... but's that not why you get the f/1.2. It's all about that bokeh.
