Wasn’t the lady also on an episode of Three’s Company where she played Jack’s date?

They should have had Janet as a guest star with them, so we could have had them once end up together.

Ironically, there's an episode of Three's Company where Ritter gets a tattoo with the words 'The Love Butt' on his posterior - perhaps it was a nod to him doing this episode!!

? He was a physical comedy actor, and straight as,an arrow. As was Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari in Bosom Buddies.

At 20:00 mark: Captain S. says, "I try to meet all the passengers on the ship but I don't recall meeting you." Uh, well, Dale (John Ritter) is the guy who fell over board. How could he not know who he was. A minor glitch in the story line. Still enjoyed the clip. Ritter was great.

Mix Jerry Lewis, John Ritter, and the vulgarity of the 1990s, and what do you get? Jim Carrey!
It would be interesting Love Boat trivia to know which 70s stars’ characters actually jumped off the Love Boat. John Ritter. Anyone else?

I had watched Love Boat from start to finish, as a teen and in my twenties, but never saw this episode with John Ritter before. I must have been gone that nite. It is hilarious that the crew are so attracted to him, when he is a woman. This show is special, and the theme song is terrific.

"If things go on like this we could end up just one big sex". Yeah, or 72 genders, none of which have a clue which bathroom they're supposed to use. Yesterday's dystopia is today's reality.

Joanne (Jennifer Shaw) from the first clip was the love interest of Jack Tripper in the Three's Company episodes "Ground Rules" (which was also from 1977 as this particular Love Boat episode was) and Maid to Order (1982). So Shaw and John Ritter have been together in at least three episodes on two different TV series.
