If the light is constantly blinking red what does that mean

Unfortunately, it's bad news. It means that the electronic card located inside the motor housing is bad. This generally happens because of a power surge. To determine if the motor is still under warranty (2-years) jot down the S/N located on the decal affixed to the top of the timer and contact us for assistance.
