Alright city slicker here from Calgary you ain’t a real cowboy unless you know that city and why you should know it 😉 I’ve been on alot of farms and this is truly pointless till it comes to competition. Only ever seen this happen at competition and it truly makes me wonder how small of men cowboys think they are taking down a calf that way when it’s not even done on farms

Hi, Las Vegas New Mexico here and um yeah we do take our calves down like this. At this point we're gonna tag em, tap em, tie em and let them go.

Cool in all but traumatizing a calf to look cool,people nowadays don’t tie cows for the real reason(medicine or emergency). It’s ok if practice but you’re already good at it. No need to do that to make a poor calf’s heart race.❤

@ I do and I understand but think it’s unethical. I don’t have cows but my papa does he’s been raising cows for 34 years and he also thinks it’s unethical to do that. It’s ok to tie em up,still a little scary but he picks em up and sits on them. Just imagine that’s you as a kid happening to you.

The abuse that goes on, horses falling which can cause serious problems, and twisting a cows neck all the was around risking it to break and kill the poor thing.

Ty, I was there, partially on a promise (details not important) & I have to say that I was completely shocked at the number of contestants there that are current 2024 NFR qualifiers with the exception of the bull riding. I want to ask, respectfully of course: What was it about this non sanctioned event in my home state that made you want to enter with it being so close to Vegas? I’ve been following Pro Rodeo for a long time & I remember not that long ago if you were a top 15 guy, no way you showing up to a late season event, regardless of the payout. A lot of guys usually go home, heal up, or get on or rope practice stock. I do realize times have changed, but I would be curious to hear your slant on this. BTW, I will be in Vegas opening weekend & will attend rounds 2 & 3. I wish you the best.
