Hey coach can you please explain bar path? Should you press the bar in a straight line or up and slightly curved at the end so that your hands and shoulders are stacked? Some say the former because if you press up and slightly back you lose that stability in the shoulder. What’s your perspective on this?
@livetrainperform5 ай бұрын
Whatever bar path is natural for you, likely a combination of both. The main point being to load the bar adequately, to ensure you are being challenged by the weight enough to stimulate the muscles responsible for that movement pattern, whilst maintaining stability, tension and control to maintain a quality and replicable bar path for the desired intensity and duration. I hope that makes sense
@LanNguyen-hi4qs5 ай бұрын
@@livetrainperform it does, thank you coach! Does the bar path affect how much the pecs are recruited? I see so many people being pedantic about pressing up and back? You’re right stability is super important and I tend to lose shoulder packed position if I try to manipulate that bar path for maximal “ squeeze”and starting to feel discomfort in my AC joint:( do you have any advice on that coach?
@livetrainperform4 ай бұрын
@@LanNguyen-hi4qs I wouldn't be using a barbell for maximal recruitment/mind muscle connection. Use a machine for that.

What is the best program for a person who sit all day :) I used to take boxng lessons many years ago, now i want to get fit again, the problem that i want a program without huge weights and another point is that the program should fix asymmetry in my posture.

@@SamboBreakdown in that case, we would start broad and general, and work to narrow and specific, which would depend on duration of each phase. It would likely be a combination of training program/template to follow, plus individualised coaching to suit the "season."
