Jesus being god is merely interpretation. Not once in the bible did he declare to be god. All the authors of the bible are anonymous. Not one mention in a single book who authors said books. Luke 14:26 literally says to hate your entire family and yourself to be a disciple in Christ. Fact check me. You're in a cult. Get out now.
@jeffreyschultz133628 күн бұрын
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. There is a lot to unpack here. The Bible contains multiple references where Jesus claims to be God. In addition, many biblical authors, like Paul in his letters (1 Timothy, Titus, 1 Thessalonians), identify themselves. Isaiah and Jeremiah are further examples, identifying themselves as the author. Luke 14:26 is often understood as hyperbole, emphasizing that devotion to Christ must come above all, even family. It doesn’t literally call for hate but stresses the priority of discipleship. I appreciate your comment.
@enough_chords28 күн бұрын
@@jeffreyschultz1336 can you give references for Jesus claiming to be God and where it shows who authored the different books. But you're not gonna find it. It's not in there. With AI you can quickly see everything you want and it's not in there.
@jeffreyschultz133628 күн бұрын
I'm grateful for this conversation. One example of Jesus claiming to be God is in John 10:30, where He says, "I and the Father are one." In response, the Pharisees prepare to stone Him for blasphemy, stating in verse 33: "You, a mere man, claim to be God." Another instance is in Mark 14, when asked if He is the Messiah, Jesus replies, “I am... and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One." The high priest then accuses Him of blasphemy, because He has claimed to be God (Mark 14:62-64). As for the authorship of the scriptures, I shared instances in the earlier comment (1 Timothy, Titus, Isaiah, Jeremiah, etc.) right from my Bible. These authors state their names and other information in the first verses of the books they've written. Other examples that I just looked up include Zephaniah and Romans, but there are definitely more. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
@enough_chords28 күн бұрын
@@jeffreyschultz1336 can you supply verses where the authors claim their authorship?
@jeffreyschultz133628 күн бұрын
Some of the specific examples I listed above in my comments were: Romans 1:1: "Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God..." Here, Paul identifies himself as the author of Romans. Jeremiah 1:1: "The words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin." Jeremiah's authorship is established at the very beginning of the book. Zephaniah 1:1: "The word of the Lord that came to Zephaniah son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, during the reign of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah." Zephaniah claims authorship here as the one receiving God's message. 1 Timothy 1:1: "Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope..." Paul again lists his authorship in the opening to Timothy. I appreciate the opportunity to dialogue with you about all of this.

33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. 34 For the Son of Man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. 37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.

Have you ever thought of doing a monthly blessing walk. A church in tampa does it. Basically they choose a area (Ex - down town inverness) and groups of 2 to 5 individuals walk from buisness to buisness home to home stoping to pray for each one. If a buisness is open the send someone in to ask if the buisness has specific prayer requests. If someone asks them to move on they do while still praying for the location. Would be great maybe come fall to see something like that started. I would be all in even willing to help plan Each event.

The Jewish Jesus that never converted?
@jeffreyschultz13366 ай бұрын
Absolutely, Jesus' life and teachings were deeply rooted in Judaism. He fulfilled many prophecies from the Hebrew Scriptures, such as those about the Messiah. His teachings often brought deeper understanding to Jewish principles like love for God and neighbor, justice, and mercy. While Christianity emerged as a distinct faith, it sees itself as the fulfillment and continuation of Judaism, not a rejection of it. Jesus himself said he came not to abolish the Law but to fulfill it (Matthew 5:17), highlighting the completion of God's plan through him.
