Hi, I just picked up a Peerless faucet similar to this one and just like the one I have, on yours the 1/2 inch iron pipes that you can see here, the threads on the ends do not go all the way around. When I connect my water supply lines to them, I am still getting leaks despite using plumbers tape and making sure the connections are tight. I can’t think of anything causing the leaks except for those end connections (sorry dont know what they’re called) on the iron pipes not being round all the way around. Do you have any advice on what to try? I got this faucet at a charity shop that doesn’t take returns and I’d hate to be out the money. Thanks so much!

I have run all kinds of things off these old generators and the only time I ever had a problem is when it was shut down under a load. I ran out of gas and it just shut off. It blew out a old really cheap fluorescent light fixture. Other than that dont run it out of gas and warm it up for a minute before loading it. Disconnect all loads before shutting off. Make sure the carburetor is clean so it runs smoothly!

I believe it would require some PCB modifications to add a third ignition driver circuit, since there wouldn't necessarily be 2 pairs of opposing cylinders to control with the wasted spark design in the current board. The distributor PCB would also need to be updated to match the timing requirements of the engine.

Careful with those Chinese PSUs I've seen a few of those spewing SO much RF noise they've taken out the 50 Meg CATV return path, it's always a difficult conversation telling a customer that if they continue to use that PSU we are going to block their return path with a 50dB wide band filter. They were so noisy I didn't even need near field probes to find it I just used a length of coax connected to a spectrum analyser. 😂

It requires commitment and self-discipline to perform the insertion. The pain is significant but persists for only a short duration. Put yourself into "auto-pilot" and convince yourself that there is no option to back out once you start. Record it with a camera or do it with another person around in order to motivate yourself to keep going until the procedure is complete.

String plugs are a quick, temporary fix but not a proper repair. The Tire Industry Association (TIA) advises against them because they don’t allow internal inspection, don’t seal the inner liner, and can let water infiltrate the tire. This moisture can cause internal rust and weaken the steel belts, leading to potential tire failure. For a safe, permanent repair, use a plug-patch combo with the tire removed and inspected.

Very severe! But have you ever thought of installing fuel injectors in front of each cylinder, like a four cylinder motorcycle, which should improve throttle response and make refueling faster. I will try using your code to modify the motorcycle now. Another issue is that fuel injection is not based on the opening and closing of the intake valve? In my understanding, fuel injection is only carried out when the intake valve is open. I haven't seen how you achieved it yet.

This is amazing i was trying a rev limiter circuit using this schematic i took the rpm from contact points and ran the signal to second order rc filter like you did and to the interrupt pin on arduino nano the rev limiting is done by a relay . I connected the common pin of the relay to ignition switch and normally closed to ignition coil positive side when the threshold rpm is reached the relay is switched on and the coil loses its 12volt side at that moment the rpm readings is misread on the arduino and i dont know the problem your help is appreciated

Hi, how could i setup the code to use it without map?
@DielectricVideos
@DielectricVideos 3 ай бұрын
For speed-density control, MAP is one of the key measurements for determining the airflow into the engine. However, it is possible to use an MAF (Mass Airflow) sensor instead of the speed-density calculation to measure the airflow rate into the engine. Note that a MAF sensor uses a hot metal wire to measure airflow, so it is a somewhat laggy measurement. Alternatively, you could also use throttle position as a rough estimation of intake air density; however, you would need to apply a transformation to the throttle position value that is dependent on engine RPM in order to effectively estimate air density in the intake.

Nice design! Yep beefier MOSFET take more beating, but also need lot transistors to drive them with 10V, when IRL540 need only 5v in gate can forget whole 10v line and gate driving transistors. By my undertanding, MOSFETs are not gonna handle near 600V. If need so mush to take voltage, why not use thyristor like BT151. Drawn this schematic arlready ang gonna make simpler verion with IRL540's, maybe put 2 of them parellel if need really high current. Probably adding some optional input and output just in case, so many unused pins left.

Older models dont have AVR so the voltage can and WILL spike as you said which is what CAN hurt electronics ... Also with that said, most electronics that have an external power supply or power adaptor or "brick" will show you its AC input voltage limit, i have 5 in my house from my laptops and other devices and their input voltage varies from 100V to 240V ... So if that ac spikes to 140V or even 150V, it wont hurt the power adaptor. My 25 yr old RCA surround sound reciever has an internal power suppply but the input voltage does show 100V to 230V AC ... So they can handle the voltage spike. The only generator that i saw that spiked that high was 172V and it was from a 2 stroke 1200W generator and it spiked to 172V when he pulled the load off. Most modern generators have AVR to keep the voltage from spiking above 120V or 240V regardless of load.

How do you rotate your tires in a cross-pattern, i.e., front-left to rear-right and front-right to rear-left, when you jack up your car on one side at a time?
@DielectricVideos
@DielectricVideos 4 ай бұрын
I have found that the best way to do cross-pattern rotation is to get the entire car up onto 4 jack stands. Tesla would probably tell you it should only be done with a full-size car lift, but I have done it myself with a floor jack, jack stands, and several short sections of dimensional lumber. The procedure I use for this is roughly as follows. It is probably not the only way, or the best way, but I used it successfully. Also note that you may need to alter the sequence of steps slightly if the weight distribution of your car happens to be different from mine. Either way, be sure to use common sense and stop/backtrack if things start to get unstable. 1. Lift on the designated lift point until the entire side of the car is high enough to place a jack stand under the opposing lift point on the same side. Place a jack stand under the lift point. 2. Gradually lower the floor jack. The side of the car should remain aloft on the jack stand. 3. Place the floor jack under the free-hanging tire opposite the jack stand and lift on the tire. Beware that the suspension will compress when lifting on the tire, so it may store some spring energy. 4. Place a jack stand under the unoccupied lift point. 5. Gradually lower the floor jack. The car should now be supported on one side by two jack stands. Note: From this point on, lifting on the opposite side may begin to pivot the car one direction or another on the opposing jack stands. Each time you lift, verify that the jack stands remain stable and level. If they begin to tilt, go back to the other side with the floor jack, lift on the tire adjacent to the affected jack stand, and reset the jack stand to a level position. 6. Lift on one of the lift points on the opposite side of the car. With one side on jack stands, the floor jack will most likely no longer lift the entire side of the car; rather, one corner will remain on the ground or will only lift partially. 7. Place several pieces of dimensional lumber beneath the tire adjacent to the floor jack. 8. Lower the floor jack so that the lifted corner is supported by the lumber beneath the tire. 9. Lift on the opposite lift point and place lumber beneath the other tire. 10. Repeat steps 8-9 until there is sufficient clearance under the unoccupied lift point to place a jack stand. Place the jack stand. 11. Now that the car is close to level again, the floor jack should be able to lift the entire side of the car. Lift until the dimensional lumber adjacent to the jack stand is freely movable, and remove it. 12. Lower the floor jack and lift on the tire you just removed the lumber from. Now you should be able to place the final jack stand under the 4th lift point. 13. Lower the floor jack and verify that all 4 jack stands are stable and level. Now you should have access to all 4 tires for rotation as you like, or access to the undercarriage for service. Follow the same steps in reverse to get the car back onto the ground.
