Our dog has always got along with other dogs. She’s three we just rescued a year old dog, and she literally hates this dog. She constantly growls at her barks at her and now I’m worried that it’s not going to work out.

I just went to your videos list and selected the oldest video after selecting video after video from the most recently uploaded. I am going to start uploading and making videos for my channel (horse related, mostly, but other animal content and things) and I love nothing more than finding new, or fledgling KZbin channels before they hit their popularity. I love to support grassroots level channels who don’t have hundreds of thousands of followers or some influencers who don’t have the best animal husbandry or history with other content creators and even their own viewers. Last week, I went on a mission and went through all of my hundreds of channels I’ve subscribed to and unfollowed a lot of them. News has come out of some of their breeding practices for animals, all kinds of animals, ironically, most of them are snakes and reptiles and tarantulas! Even though I have some arachnophobia, I’ve been researching a type of South American blue tarantula and the Goliath bird eaters, to eventually have my own, and every new pet or hobby starts with research and finding those who are knowledgeable in the hobby. I have done the horse thing professionally in some capacity for years, and hold a certification for teaching and judging in three disciplines and completed everything but the last half of a practical exam for jump course designing for hunters, equitation and show jumping, but at the time I couldn’t afford the cost of flying across the country and staying in a hotel and I couldn’t take the time off of work. I’ve broken/backed horses including my first one at 15, who came along so nicely, that her sale price was enough to pay for my first car in cash and all my books and living expenses for the first semester and a half, which I was so proud of, as I bought her myself for $300 and sold her after working and paying all her bills throughout high school until I sold her at 19 for $12K! I used to buy racehorses off the track that failed at that job to train and sell them as hunters or jumpers or prospects for eventing and dressage. I was also super lucky to work for the governing body of equestrian sport in Canada (they covered it all but racing) managing several departments and learning so much! But one thing we all know about horses is that they go hand in hand with dogs and to some extent cats. I ran a lesson and training barn when I was still with my ex-husband living in Canada and here, in the U.K. with my second and forever husband, we had a livery yard and I taught riding at many riding schools, even in western Canada (and was lucky enough to see my old boss in Calgary in April for the first time in 19 years! I was just 20 turning 21 when I got that amazing gig!), but every single place I had my horses at (my dad’s farm when I was a teen and my riding school with my ex and here in the U.K.) we had a couple of spayed cats to help with the rats and mice. But every place except in the U.K. I’ve had dogs. Dogs and horses go together. My thoroughbred in Canada had a big “jolly ball”, a heavy duty soccer ball sized ball with a big handle on it. The horse would throw it and the dog would bring it back, playing for hours, wearing one another out. We’re saving for a new place here, a nice little farm hopefully, where my husband and I can get a couple of more horses (we have one amazing “horse of a lifetime” horse that we share and I trained from only being sat on about 8-10 times), breed our mare, but have dogs. We want to always keep a spot open for a senior dog. They are criminally under-adopted, as people want puppies and younger dogs. I want a dog whose owner has died or whose family couldn’t keep them, and give them multiple soft beds to sleep on, property to run on, and go for long hacks with the horse. We also want a puppy, as I grew up with and have had golden retrievers in my younger years. But even though I have trained my own dogs, successfully, I had a German shepherd as my last dog and realised how different it was training her to my goldens. And seeing as it has been so long since I’ve had dogs, I’ve been looking around for channels that work on dog training and socialisation and integrate them into their families and with their other animals properly. I would love to be able to comment more on your videos to ask questions and send along my warm wishes and thoughts! I have subbed and hope you leave the comment section up in the future. It’s so nice to see a channel that is based on animals and have care and training done the right way and are trying to share their skills and love of the animals! Plus, it will only be a matter of time before a good channel will take off with subscribers and our comments will be lost because you’ll have so many people wanting to interact with you! ❤

What kind of beagle is this....

I have a 12 week old puppy and a 2 year old Australian Sheppard. The Aussie lately spends a lot of time growling and has recently started to bully and get after the 12 week old for what seems to be unprovoked. Older dog was neutered a week ago and has shown a lot of attitude the last few days

Just in case any one reads the comments this is NOT how one would have two separate dogs on a single remote. You want each dog to have a dedicated S button. This would be how you get a single dog to be able to have two receivers

I have an older dog a 12 yr old German short hair, and a 5 yr old dog Mia. Mia keeps taking after the older dog and she's starting to bite and get way to aggressive. How should I handle a younger dog attacking this elderly dog?

I agree the wind makes it hard but I was able to understand and this is super helpful! My trainer told me to use the prong for this but I didn't have it with me so she couldn't demonstrate and I want to practice before next class. thank you!

I know this is an old video but i really could use some advice. We have a 4y old female very friendly, socialized golden retriever. A week ago we adopted a 6 month old female smaller dog. What we noticed now is that this pup tries to intimidate our golden. She slowly walks towards her with an intense stare, she then sits beside my golden and keeps staring. My golden tries to avoid a conflict by looking away but the pup just keeps staring at her and i noticed it makes my golden very unconfortable. Atm what im doing is stepping between then and use my body to make the pup step away. But i have no idea if thats the right thing to do. Should i step in or not? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Ty!!!

I have a question: what if the dog is resource guarding person? my dog wouldn't let any other dog get close to me, no matter if the other dog is coming towards me or just walking around. In this case, i should punish him no matter what other dogs do right? since Im the leader not the resource

Please help! We have had our Pomsky puppy for a week today. The first five days taking her out on the leash to use the potty she was doing awesome and now it’s like she’s regressed and she’s having more frequent accidents in the house. There have been multiple times where I’ve taken her out and after a few minutes brought her back in and literally no sooner than I took the leash off of her she went and Peed on the floor or pooped. When it comes to treats she won’t eat any of the six or seven types of treats that I bought her but she does like to get her dog food as a treat. Is getting pieces of her dog food as a treat OK?

learning about prongs changed my life. i had heard they were bad for dogs, or only for 'extreme cases'. i was at my breaking point with a dog once. she was a blind husky, pulled like mad, super anxious, very dangerous (she had bit people and dogs before). i knew she needed regular walks but i just couldn't bear it. my hands were raw, my joints hurt, my arm and shoulder hurt, and every time i took her out i was worried she'd trip me or that she'd slip out of her collar (which she did once or twice). i tried so many things that just didn't work. i wasted so much time and she made no progress. when i finally found a video showing and explaining prongs PROPERLY, i immediately bought one. i put it on myself first because i was still worried, and while it wasn't comfortable, it wasn't painful either. and i know dogs interpret neck pressure differently than we do (they chew on each other roughly during play after all). i put it on, and she was immediately calmer (she hated buckles that snapped closed so it was off to a good start). after a few little 'dances' back and forth to get her used to it, we were walking. i nearly cried. she pulled VERY slightly but my hands weren't hurting. she stayed by my side. if she got freaked out by something, a little flick of the wrist usually snapped her out of it and got her focused back to me. absolutely life changing. dogs are being killed because their owners refuse to try prongs out of fear. dog aren't being walked regularly because their owners can't find a safe, fast, effective way to leash train them. it's a travesty. thank you for sharing this video.

BUT clipping just in one area on both sides (8 & 4 o'clock) of the neck just for the E collar is USELESS You can get: - LONGER PROPS - WING CONTACTS - PART THE FUR TO EXPOSE THE SKIN - Clean the props with alcohol swabs to maintain clean contact If you have it in one place constantly you are going to eventually have marks come up if you don't move it around a bit I use E collars too and its MUCH simpler to just part the fur and expose the skin and switch the probs to the longer ones
