Yeah... I completely understand where you're coming from when you say you've been trying to fine tune this. The main thing is that you've started and I'm happy for you for having done so. I wouldn't really say I'm still figuring out my niche. I've pretty much settled on the fact that I'm going to keep things somewhat relatively broad under the umbrella of the journey to financial independence... so with whatever I cover, I will typically always try to tie it back to something I'm doing contributing to my financial independence goal. Naturally, there will be topics that I will tend to cover a lot more heavily than others which FOR NOW with me will be digital/affiliate marketing leaning more towards the selling of digital products than physical. It leaves things pretty open in this way allowing me to cover a wider breadth of topics when I want to. I just don't want to pigeonhole myself to only one thing. Whether or not this turns out to be detrimental towards my channel growth is something that only time will tell. I'm no KZbin expert and I'm doing what I can not to fall into the trap of pretending to be one. I'm just enjoying the journey as I go and share what I know to be true based predominantly on my personal experience. Even though I didn't give you a straightforward direct to the point answer, I hope that at least somewhat answers your question with regards to what I've settled on as my niche.

@@iamchristianm Understood! You hit the nail on the head, my response would essentially be a reflection of what you just wrote, it really resonates. What I wrote to a friend about this topic: "I feel like the most valuable thing I have to share and teach stem from the wisdom I've gained through life experiences and struggles which don't exactly fit into any other niche than "Philosophy" or "Personal development" and how they apply to other areas in life. Perhaps I should accept the same broad umbrella for mine as well, at least for now. I don't want to pigeonhole myself either. I see other KZbinrs that seem to have success with this such as @ChadLisonbee. I've also noticed your subscriber count climb pretty well in the last month, at least according to my estimations. Kudos to that!

@@biziswhatitis Yeah... I'd say give yourself the latitude to post what you want in these early stages and then if you feel like there's any one thing you want to gravitate towards, you can always do that if you so choose to. I appreciate the encouragement with regards to my subscriber count.

Could very well be but that's not gonna cut it. A lot of people are using ChatGPT as well to get content for posts. Here's the thing though, they pay on a merit based system. If you post crap, nobody is going to engage... if your posts provide any kind of value to others (whether it's educational, motivational, entertaining or even controversial whereby they stir up debate), people will react and engage which is what will enable you to meet the requirements to get paid. In other words, quality is more likely to get rewarded over quantity full of garbage. So if you're up for it... give it a shot.

@@iamchristianm I guess I should specify that I would scroll through and see a plethora of posts from women that had some sort of toxic or divisive title and it was obviously designed to elicit engagement. As I read the posts, I concluded that 90% of the time it wasn't even a real women, it seemed manufactured. Yet there were all of these men in the comments who were absolutely clueless. There was so much of that content, I hadn't been on in awhile and have just stuck to X (Twitter) I just got on out of curiosity and it seems it's changed! 👍

Gotcha... I see what you mean. Thanks for the clarification. Having said that, I'd like to add that the Threads algorithm isn't too bad though from what I've seen. It tends to feed you more of what you want to see based on a lot of the stuff you've already looked at and interacted with in the past. I'm still learning and figuring it out for myself too though so we'll see. I'm liking it thus far anyway.

Yeah... it can be rough and extremely difficult to deal with particularly if you don't see it coming. The biggest thing now is that you've learned and grown from it which should better equip you going forward to deal with everything.

We can be thankful that you've at least gotten to a place where you actually understand it now because unfortunately for many others, they don't get to that place of understanding the importance of this and it holds them back in so many ways they might not even see. Keep soldiering on and you'll keep getting further.

Silly comment lol. A person could literally be a complete expert in a subject or skill in their actual life and could have just DECIDED to get on KZbin recently. The linear correlation that you are attempting to make is futile lol. There are people on KZbin with 100,000+ subscribers who couldn't even sell a coffee mug lol from their platform if they tried lol. Quality, effectiveness and messaging is all that matters. If those are good, subscribers will simply stack up over time.
