What windows did you use? Sorry if I missed you saying it.
@SRV463Ай бұрын
The larger window is an old Atrium that is almost 30 years old, the smaller one I purchased brand new at Home Depot. The atrium works great, but the newer small one is really bad. The whole window comes out, I’m not sure what they were thinking when designing it (you can see how crooked it is in part2). I actually plan to remove it completely and install another atrium window in the future.

@@SRV463 We ended up using Plygem windows from Home Depot and obviously they're cheap windows. I noticed yours are black* on the inside...mine are black on outside but white on the inside. I should've looked harder for black on black. I used Milgard aluminum windows on my tiny home I'm still building but with the heat and cold in the high desert, probably wouldn't have been the best decision. Plus, Milgard is more expensive and I wasn't happy with the build quality.

Thank you so much for setting the example for what I want to do (right down to the dome tent!), and - in doing so - teaching this eager amateur a bit more about building a cabin than many other videos and websites did. Good luck with the new school year in the US. Don't kill any kids intentionally!

Correct, anytime one does metal roofing in a building that's going to be heated or cooled, you need decking & a water barrier. Or else, you'll have moisture problems!

I don’t get the design… you’re on top of a hill with a tremendous view of the Rockies, why put the door on the wall facing that view? That front wall should be huge windows with the entrance on the back wall. Just my opinion..

Thanks Bert! There is power at the property, but I don't get to go very often so I won't be hooking it up (yet). I'd have to do a well and septic if I wanted water/sewage. Thanks for the sub 👍
