Great walk around, I love how clean you made all the accessories switches, great job!!! How did you get the locker lights work on the dash? I have been looking to add lockers to my HDj81 and I have been on the fence between air locker or Eaton E-locker. Seeing how clean your set up is and having the lights work on the dash is game changer.

I am really curious what you got for this 85. I have a 1986. But mine started out as an M1009. So I put in a 6.5 turbo, 1 ton axles, 4:56 gears, NV4500 5 speed tranny and some other odds and ends.

I ain't doing all that stuff to mine i don't care about having all that just enough to mow grass and the womans field if i need to then i can. and i put a brush bumper i put on my newer old craftsmen i thought it would look nice an all that shit being on the mower but its in my way so i might just take it back off and leave it off What it needs is a more comfortable seat it takes me 4 hours doing the womans field sitting on that little hard seat then the springs don't do nothing

one thing about a front shackle is the way the axle handles a "stand up". If the axle drops hard in a hole its flex must force it up instead of back, which is easier on shackle strain. The front shackle will "stand up" and easily, depending on impact force, cause the back main-leaf to bend because it cannot push back. Many make the mistake of learning that the hard way. leaf springs are always limited in their movement by shackle length. Too much, as you know, will cause caster problems.
