Can I please ask you this question have my guitar plugged in input 2 front of the Focusrite Scarlett interface 6i6 and from there im going though a boss katana head effect loop. My question is: How can I hear the audio project only on PA and not on the Boss Katana as well? Im playing with guitar plugins..and would like only the backing track to be on PA. Thank you

Thought I was alone on this need! the loopback option works to remedy exactly what you need , check the video on my channel for this, it works flawlessly, however, ive run into an issue where some effects have latency and reaper is not compensating for it nor does the "manual latency adjust" correct it.

Oh heck... so I was having a problem with audio recordings printing out of time in my stems. So guess what the solution was... selected Off in the latency compensation settings. LOL. Once I did that all my audio recordings printed as recorded and on time. So turning All on may fix midi timing but it screws up audio timing. Maybe the answer is the setting in the middle... It 2am and I am done.

This is also possible in REAPER without metadata midi events utilizing Markers instead. All that is needed is the Transport: Pause action command ID (!40861). I believe SWS extensions for REAPER should be installed, however. This is good if using REAPER live with a sequence of backing tracks. Of course, Markers are very powerful stuff in REAPER.

If you do this using Terminal, use quotations around path names that contain spaces. And if you are in the folder that is the destination of the link, you can use . (a full stop) which donates the current folder, e.g. ln -s "path name /or file name with spaces.txt" .

Great vid, thank you - do you know of any solution to take a track that wasn't recorded to click (drums, bass, guitar etc), and then somehow look over the 'overall' transients in the track (maybe focusing on drum track or something) to come up with a tempo/grid that you could then use methods like in this video to tighten up to said grid - AI? or some kind of 'figure out general tempo of my track and attempt to auto line up with grid' for tracks that were loosely recorded without a click but are generally in time (understanding as humans there will be subtle speed up/slow downs as opposed to musicians playing against a click)

My iPhone Audio encoded by ios 17.3 of 500mb vid transfer info showed codecs hvc1, AAC, mebx and size was 2160 X 3840. All I got was audio and no video in QT and in VLC or BLueray player etc... video was sideways and the audio was chopped/stalling. Yosemite. What version of VLC are you working with?

There's no installation file in the kid3 download? the file that is an application just opens up in a windows DOS box
